This is a good talk. It also echoes some things I have been saying for years (I stole @bruces' line about musicians long ago, probably back when we hung out in Austin)... Back in 2005, I wrote a blog post called "The Future of Content" that ended with:
& there are some sorts of games just demand larger investment ($$ or sweat equity) than others. It wouldn't be the first time that genres died at the hands of business realities, as Paolo notes. But it'll be the first time in a while that it's the commercial core of the artform.
