@SleeperMets The guy can’t pitch. Doesn’t matter if it’s a starter or reliever. He’s gonna take a spot from someone that can help the team. Same with Myers. Two bullpen spots given to guys who should never pitch.
@F_Piombo89 1- Stearns needs Mendoza for job protection. If he keeps Mendoza until seasons end, he can then fire him and tell Cohen he wants to bring in a new manager.
2- no manager can win with this team.
3- even if Mendoza is fired, Stearns still gonna make the lineup card
Stearns chose to bring back Senga, Peterson and Manaea. Stearns chose to trade 2 Top 100 prospects for 5 inning Freddy who is pitching like a # 4. Stearns chose to not get a first baseman even though he preached run differential. Where is the Accountability @StevenACohen2#mets
I’d be shocked if @nyknicks don’t sweep this series. Not a Knicks fan so can say this with an objective point of view. They’re playing so well right now and have so many weapons. Playing with a lot of confidence and treating this like a business trip.
‘@kroger could improve the shoppers experience by opening more lanes, making sure all self checkout works, and having a self checkout for 10 items or less. But they choose to piss off customers instead
@MetsMoney Stearns picked the players. Stearns picked the coaches. Stearns puts out the lineup card. Stearns puppet (Correa) tells Mendoza what to do in game.
Cohen had to have put Stearns on notice. First Ewing gets called up and then Benge and Ewing play against a lefty over Slater. Only questions are why did it take so long? And did Cohen take over the lineup card too? #mets
@JustinCLeto@SteveGelbs and @SNYtv@SNY_Mets scared to ask him anything. They should have pressed him in Spring training about bringing back all of Senga, Manaea and Peterson. And why the big move was to bring in Peralta as an “ace” when he can only go 5 innings.
@bleednucksblue Doesn’t matter what those guys are doing, only what they could have gotten in return. Buxton hit 35 homers in 126 games last year. Freddy sucks and taxes a bullpen that is already shorthanded.
@SleeperMets Stearns gave up nothing for Robert. The issue is that he thought Robert would be an asset and he sucks. And then he traded Williams/ Sproat for 5 inning Freddy. Could those guys have gotten Buxton? The issue with Robert is that he sucks and acquiring him prevented a better option
