Rest of Canada: Hey, want some help with that Covid problem?
Kenney: Nah, we good. It’s fine.
Also Kenney: *calls hospitals in the US* hey, we need help. Can you take some patients?
US: you don’t have health insurance here. It will bankrupt your people.
Kenney: That’s ok.
Dr. Noel Gibney, a professor emeritus in the critical care department of medicine at the University of Alberta said Kenney’s track record raises questions about who is advising him medically “because it appears that he keeps on making the wrong decisions.”

@truckdriverpleb There is no federal fire fighting force you idgit. Feds send funds to PROVINCES. It is the PROVINCE that is supposed to use it for things like WILDFIRE BUDGETS. In ALBERTA the UCP has cut the WILDFIRE budget year over year while the fires get worse. BiG BrAiN LoGiC there pal.
@YEGdeal @1MikeMorris Emergency services and wild fire management and response is the Province though. So regardless of how you think you can spin this - the Provincial wild fire budget has been cut year over year even though fires have been worse year or year.
Big brain logic right there.
@CPJM2033@1MikeMorris Emergency response is not. It is Provincial. Danielle Smith dropped the ball on this one. And the UCP have cut the fire fighting budget significantly since coming to power. Stop being ignorant and lay blame where it fucking belongs.
@BroPaulBrake@yegwave lol ok. But a $1B price tag to rid of private auto insurance to save Albertans 3 times that much in 3-5 years is a “shocking sticker price” but the cost, revamping the Peace Officer Act, and allocating resources for a Provincial Police Force is not? Make it make sense.
@DeetoriaDee@fvkasm2x@yegwave He is 110% resisting. Refusing to lay prone, rolling on his side and trying to get to his back. The cops struggling to get his arms behind his back. That is called RESISTING.
@TerriBecause@yegwave@edmontonpolice When resisting arrest, and the other cops are trying to hold you still, but you refuse to roll over, put arms behind your back etc… ya. Why the hell can’t it be? Please explain why a man carrying a bat around threatening to burn down a house can’t be punched in the head? Go on.
@Ricky_Yesterday @fvkasm2x@yegwave Hardly. Those punches were fucking love taps. Won’t stop resisting arrest. A few shots to the face might just do the trick. Since the other cops are trying to get his hands behind his back while maintaining control, this is the best case.
@ramelli_13 @citynewscalgary A vaccine during a global pandemic and a break in the city’s water main intake are completely the same fucking thing. Might want to plug your ears James, your brain cells are leaking out.
@ahmedmian@sharib1959 Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation.
@ScottRCarpenter Please explain, how building a home is a federal issue? And how Gov spending dictates inflation rates?
1) we have some of the lowest global inflation.
2) Housing is a provincial issue.
3) Borrowing money is a bank issue.
4) Inflation rate is 2.8%, lowest it’s been in 5 years.
@Canorelfman@AntiMacro@GlobalEdmonton Vacancy rates is the problem. Immigration was never mentioned. Vacancy rates are the biggest fucking issue. Did you not read the damn article? I guess not. The Province wants money with no strings attached. UCP: “Check out our surplus.” Also the UCP: “fuck housing.”
