RareLink Co-founder Kaitai Lore Chang @cktlore talks about #ZKrollups :ZK-Rollups is a turn-around scaling solution that runs computations off-chain and leverages validity proof to submit the latter on-chain.

Although having first movers advantages, some early adopters will not lead to the #ZKrollups adoption yet because they are not fully #EVM compatible, and solutions must be tailor-made to switch between #L1 and #L2 .

The programmability gap between ZK-Rollups and Optimistic will be reduced eventually, but the current dilemma is about simplicity, compatibility, and settlement speed.
