Tensions erupt between Iran and Qatar

Just days after Qatar hosted indirect round of Iran-US talks, Doha accused Tehran of targeting its LNG tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.

Now, Qatar has summoned the Iranian envoy over the attack and delivered a formal protest note.

The Qatari Foreign Ministry said the incident constituted a “serious violation of international navigation safety”, a “direct threat to the security of global energy supplies” and a “clear and explicit breach of the rules of international law”.

The latest incident highlights the difficult road ahead and attack such as this one can only deepen Iran-Gulf mistrust.

On 5th July 1977, Pakistan’s democratic history witnessed its darkest day. An elected and constitutional government was overthrown through undemocratic means, bringing an abrupt end to the will of the people.

This day marks the fall of democracy and the imposition of martial law, which not only halted the democratic process but also attacked the Constitution, fundamental rights, and the principles of justice and equality.

Public executions, torture, violence against women and the militarization of ethnofacist groups in Sindh especially became a normal thing in the years that follow.

We pay tribute to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the founder of the Constitution of 1973 and a symbol of the people’s struggle for democracy. His vision of a democratic, progressive, and sovereign Pakistan continues to inspire us.

عوام میں یہ مشہور ہے کہ اس کا نام لینے سے وضو ٹوٹ جاتا ہے یا گناہ ہوتا ہے، جو کہ محض ایک ثقافتی وہم ہے۔
قرآنِ مجید میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے خود کئی مقامات پر قانون واضح کرنے کے لیے لفظ "خِنْزِير" استعمال فرمایا ہے۔ اگر یہ لفظ ہی ناپاک یا گناہ ہوتا، تو یہ قرآنِ پاک کا حصہ نہ ہوتا۔ (4/5) 📖
