@TurkishAirlines@TK_HelpDesk My passport was stolen before my flight from Accra to the UK. Your rep assured me my ticket would be converted to an open ticket, but now I’m told I need to pay nearly $2K extra, and that I don’t have proper documents, which I do. I’ve been misled by customer service multiple times, and only got attention when I called out @TurkishAirlines on social media. I’m just trying to visit my 8-month pregnant wife in the UK. @BilalEksi @AhmetBolat please help resolve this! #CustomerService #Help
@TurkishAirlines the only problem is I don't need a visa to go to the UK and I have a current and valid Ghanian visa. So how does that response make sense. For a mistake that was made on your side
Update on the @TurkishAirlines situation. So @TurkishAirlines reached out yesterday and asked me to put in a ticket on this whole issue. So I did and they responded back with this.
Dear Rasheed,
We are sorry this issue prevented you from traveling.
We found in checks made before travel that there was no valid visa in your passport. Because the reason you were unable to travel was not the fault of Turkish Airlines, unfortunately we are unable to fulfill your request.
Visa and passport requirements may vary from country to country, and meeting these is the responsibility of passengers. Turkish Airlines always aims to prevent unexpected situations that may disrupt your travel.
To avoid similar problems in the future, please contact the consulate of the country you are traveling to before your next flight.
We are sorry that we were unable to take you to your destination, but hope you appreciate this was outside our control. We hope to fly with you soon.
Sincerely Yours,
Omer K.

Dear Turkish Airlines Customer Service,
I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a situation that has caused me significant distress. On Sunday, I was scheduled to fly from Accra, Ghana, to the UK. However, upon arrival at the airport, I was devastated to discover that my passport had been stolen. In a state of panic, I immediately approached the Turkish Airlines desk and spoke with a young lady who assured me that she would change my ticket to an open ticket. She explicitly informed me that with this open ticket, I could rebook my flight at a later date without incurring additional charges.
Trusting the information provided by your representative, I focused on resolving the issue of my missing passport. I obtained an emergency passport, updated my visas, and ensured that I was fully prepared to travel again. Today, when I attempted to rebook my flight, I was informed that I would need to pay nearly $2,000 extra—a shocking contradiction to what I was originally told.
I am now in an extremely difficult situation. The card I used to purchase my original ticket has been closed, meaning that any potential refund would be inaccessible to me. I desperately need to either have the amount refunded to a new card or, ideally, have my flight rebooked without additional charges as initially promised by your staff.
This situation is made all the more urgent by the fact that I am trying to visit my wife in the UK, who is currently eight months pregnant. The stress of this situation is affecting both of us, and I am deeply troubled by the thought that I might not be there for her during such a critical time due to this misunderstanding.
Turkish Airlines is known for its customer service and commitment to passenger satisfaction. I am appealing to that commitment now and respectfully request that you honor the agreement made by your representative to rebook my flight without additional costs. This would not only be a compassionate resolution to an unfortunate situation but also a reinforcement of the trust and loyalty I have placed in your airline.
Please help me rectify this situation so that I can be with my wife during this important time without further financial strain.
Thank you for your understanding and prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your positive response.
Sincerely,
TK-11279995
@makiahisms I'm currently in Ghana as well as I moved from the states in July and I'm currently interviewing diasporans that have made their way back to the continent to speak about their experiences. I'd love to have a conversation if you're up for it.
@tristanwalker First & foremost I love your products & wanted to give you props for what you have done but I've noticed I don't hear the #Bevel name like I used to whether it be podcasts or news is everything going well? If you need me I'll cop an extra trimmer for the culture
@DigitalTrends@DigitalTrends Absolutely for 3 billion someone can stand next to me and do all my google searches, read all my articles, and whatever else I need.
@JalenRose really going hard on the podcast while @djacoby is on Vaca. When Jalen is away Jacoby is like let me get some people in the ESPN family to come help. While Jacoby away Jalen flexing getting the who's who of hip-hop and TV. 🔥🔥🔥
