Netanyahu should not come to New York because Zohran Mamdani promised that as mayor he would arrest Benjamin Netanyahu if he traveled to New York. https://t.co/pK4FAZsQiq

[Mohammed Zubair @zoo_bear]

After winning New York city mayoral elections, Zohran Mamdani (@ZohranKMamdani), quotes former Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru in his victory speech. "Standing before you, I think of the words of Jawaharlal Nehru. A moment comes but rarely in history when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends and when the soul of a nation long suppressed finds utterance. Tonight, we have stepped out from the old into the new. So, let us speak now with clarity and conviction that cannot be misunderstood that what this new age will deliver and for whom. This will be an age where New Yorkers expect from their leaders bold vision of what we will achieve rather than a list of excuses for what we are too timid to attempt."

[The New York Times @nytimes]

Breaking News: Zohran Mamdani, a 34-year-old state lawmaker from Queens, will be the 111th mayor of New York. He will be the first Muslim to ever lead the city, as well as its first South Asian mayor and the youngest mayor in more than a century.

LUMS Jamshoro student Abdullah Soomro took his own life. before his death he wrote on social media when I die, grow a neem tree from my body. the investigation is still pending but his past posts reflect a mind deeply drawn to nihilistic thoughts and quiet despair.

Hussain is from me, and I am from Hussain. (Hadith – Tirmidhi)

May his legacy remind us:
Stand for what’s right, even when you stand alone.
Live with purpose, patience, and peace.
