How many mini conversations do you have in a practice or training sessions?

Hollywood likes to portray coaching as the "big speech" or the "big moment" but we know as a coach it is not, coaching is all about daily and continuous mini conversations.

Just as in skill development, the key is to have repetition without redundancy. In my practice plan, I used to jot down a specific message for each player, aiming to engage in individual conversations during practice that reinforce the same message in various ways.

I love that my 13 yr old gets to work out in the same facility. He gets to watch the work ethic it takes to reach these "heights." At 5'10" who knows how tall my son will get, add improved control, vert and agility to his frame... Can't wait to see what the coming years bring!
