21-08-23. Could this be Ancylis comptana? Only 7mm long and seems to fit with size/flight times. Upper Caldecote, Bedfordshire, VC30. Seems to be rare, with only a handful of records in surrounding counties.
@bedsbirdsnews @lesserspotnet @Ben_Sheldon_EGI @bucksbirdclub@OOSbirding@Hertsbirds @BerksBirdClub @thebigbearnash I've covered most of the Old Warden and Northill area, with a couple more sites to check. Maybe the woods around the Sandy may still hold them? I have not been to those this year. Also Flitwick Moor, though I'm not sure if anyone has covered this either? I will continue to search

Yellow-browed Warbler, showed and heard 3 times from 10.50am for the next hour. Still 4 observers there when I left. Bird viewable from the more sheltered school side of the scrub/hedge.

Yellow-browed Warbler still present but very elusive on Upper Caldecote Green. Heard from 7.20am calling occasionally over the next hour.
Only the second ever record of Clancy's Rustic for VC30 Bedfordshire (22-09), after the first, way back in 2010. Attracted to Actinic light in Upper Caldecote nr. Biggleswade.
