Close to 200 saplings arrived for upcoming season. Each of these will be carefully planted and find their new home. As they grow they will nourish bangalore air and surroundings as well. Be home to birds, insects ..feeling which makes us feel good. Like for BLR. #hasiruratha
Upcoming season plantation planned in 1st week of join. Volunteer registration open (especially for south bangalore). If people from other parts of bangalore want to register we can form area groups and provide training. https://t.co/3odz9hzjKJ #hasiruratha
Bengaluru has lost 298 trees since 22/05. This includes many huge old trees! Very concerning.
Good to hear this-
On World Environment Day Jun 5th, BDA begins a city-wide movement to plant 15 lakh native plants across Bengaluru.
@RathaHasiru Many Old trees have fallen along 100ft ring road footpath along yellowLine metro between Jayadeva metro station & Ragigudda metro station footpath.
Along Bannerghatta road-between Jayadeva station & vega city mall.
We are trying to find good spots in south bangalore areas where new saplings can be planted. Look out for fallen trees spots, trees which are dried, new vacant spots road side etc. https://t.co/3odz9hzjKJ you may also register as volunteer #hasiruratha#bengaluru
Somewhere in jayanagar Arali plant provided support. It's a native variety which attracts birds and many other species.. apart from good shade and oxygen apart from religious significance. Anyone has Arali stories/memories from their childhood? #hasiruratha#environment
