I think what is actually needed is for Indian people to actually give a damn about their cities and fellow citizens.

If you're not happy with the footpath (or a pothole, or anything else which is broken), fix it, or call someone to fix it, and don't give up until it's fixed. Be relentless. Be vocal. Be creative. Make it your mission to get that one thing fixed. Look at what Virendra (@Virendra0698) did by just calling the right people and being respectful (but also persistent). He and Arun Pai (@arunpaiblrwalks) along with the help of GBA and some wonderful volunteers turned an unofficial garbage dump into a pristine, beautiful footpath through sheer force of will.

I won't comment on Trump, but what you are sharing on India is fake news. India is doing a constitutionally required clean up of voter rolls since 2003. In 23 years, more than 110 million Indians have died, millions more left the country, or changed their locations. All these have been corrected and a draft made, not even finalized as Indians can still get their names included or rolls corrected if there's any discrepancy.

The new draft list can still be challenged in the courts. But it is being made into a fake news of "India deleted 130 million voters. And it is being spread around by some foreign influenced media in the world. Don't post on such unnecessary, complex issues in foreign countries without understanding, to make it look like you or democrats are working for China, Russia, Pakistan and other foreign interests.

Yes. Switzerland has cheese. Congratulations, everyone. We know.

The slightly more interesting fact is that this is Indian cheese that has actually competed against 1000s of cheeses from around the world and won international awards.

@eleftheriaindia, a Mumbai cheesemaker, had a cheese rank #4 in the world at the 2023 World Cheese Awards, competing against 4,500+ cheeses from 43 countries. It has since picked up more international recognition, including Best Indian Cheese at the 2025 World Cheese Awards in Switzerland.

So maybe, just maybe, the point isn’t “India has better cheese than Switzerland.”

The point is: India makes really bloody good cheese.

And if a PM meeting the Swiss President is an opportunity to put an Indian food business w genuine global credentials in front of Switzerland, why wouldn’t you do it?
