The most ridiculous part of this episode—in which kneejerk reactionary outrage including Chavez-Deremer, RG, and WW’s reporting got a public health program pulled—is liberal leaders conceit that it was pulled for some smart reason, like improper protocols.

In 29 days, we get on a plane to film a Housing First documentary in Finland, as they have almost eradicated homelessness.
https://t.co/YuXhz5xMFb I bought the flights with miles I saved. We still need the funds to produce this. It’s an important story, but we can’t tell it without your help. Any and every amount counts. Please help. Support for housing to solve homelessness is decreasing every day.

To help people experiencing homelessness comply with Portland’s new daytime camping ban Blanchet House is asking the public to donate wheeled bags or a wheeled suitcase in good working order to distribute to its guests. People affected by the new ordinance need a way to pack and transport their belongings to access services during the day like Blanchet House’s free cafe. Many people experiencing homelessness in Portland are elderly, and have one or more physical disabilities or chronic illnesses which can make transporting their belongings difficult.
If you are able to donate a wheeled bag or wheeled suitcase please drop it off at Blanchet House during donation hours Monday to Saturday, 8-10:30 a.m. or 1:30-4 p.m. Donated suitcases must be in good working order, Blanchet House cannot accept broken items.
A day before Portland's homeless camping ban goes into effect:
A federal appeals court refused to rehear a ruling that prohibited Grants Pass from criminally punishing homeless people who sleep in public places when they have nowhere else to go.

Thread: Viral misinformation about the French riots
This video of several cars falling from a multi-storey car park is from the set of the action film Fast & Furious 8, and unrelated to the current French riots.
It was filmed in 2016 on Prospect Avenue East in Cleveland, Ohio.
Why are half a dozen GOP states suddenly chipping away at child labor laws?
The legislation all goes back to the same source: A billionaire-backed Florida lobbying group.

Does anyone believe that the color of his skin was not a factor in GHW Bush’s appointment of Clarence Thomas to fill the seat vacated by Thurgood Marshall? He benefitted from this affirmative action and accepted the nomination. Then he killed affirmative action for others.
