Donald Trump Jr became an owner and advisor to a company that wants to ship guns through the mail
…but that’s been illegal for nearly a century
…so his father just rescinded that rule
…to help his company.
It’s not a coincidence.
It’s corruption.

@DougWahl1 Regardless of whether you believe a red card was warranted, political interference is nothing less than cheating. If Trump did in fact persuade FIFA to reverse the call, any US victory would be tainted. https://t.co/o2XmqNjvIE will be hard to root for US under those circumstances
The NYT reports that Trump personally called FIFA President Gianni Infantino and asked him to review Team USA’s Folarin Balogun’s World Cup suspension after his red card.
Days later, FIFA reversed the suspension.
It’s the first time since 1962 that FIFA has overturned a World Cup red-card suspension.
Wow
As Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanche fired me for doing my job, then subjected me and my family to months of retaliation. My story is one of many reasons the Senate should not confirm Blanche again. Read and share my letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee. https://t.co/g8bFrhZ9Dg
Liz Oyer, former Pardon Attorney, describes how Todd Blanche fired her when she refused to do a dangerous official favor for Trump friend Mel Gibson. The actor lost his federal firearm rights after committing domestic violence. Gibson assaulted his girlfriend while she was holding their baby daughter, smashing her in the mouth, breaking her teeth, threatening her with his gun. Gibson asked Trump’s DOJ to reinstate his federal firearm rights despite his criminal conviction. Although Blanche had the power to do it on his own, he tried to force Oyer to give her stamp of approval. Not convinced of Gibson’s rehabilitation or his lack of dangerousness, and knowing that over half of women murdered in the United States are killed by a current or past intimate partner, and the presence of firearms in an abusive household increases the risk of murder by 500%, Oyer refused to have anything to do with Blanche’s dangerous and unethical suggestion. Blanche sacked her.
Want to know what dilutes patriotism? A system that’s rigged against the average American. And who can fault Americans for looking at a president flying around in a $400 million Qatari jet or making $2.2 billion in his first year in office and thinking ‘hey this place doesn’t actually seem all that fair.’
Let me tell you what just got reported, because you will not believe it until you see it laid out.
The Trump administration cut a billion-dollar tungsten deal with Kazakhstan. Tungsten is the metal we need for missile warheads, fighter jets, and computer chips. Trump himself got on the phone to close it. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick worked it from the inside, sending letters, leaning on the Kazakh president, lining up as much as $1.6 billion in federal financing.
Within weeks of those negotiations, investors tied to a firm partly owned by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump took a 20% stake in an entity connected to the very same Kazakhstan project their father was negotiating. Around that same time, Cantor Fitzgerald, the firm run by Lutnick’s own sons, raised $210 million for a partner in the deal and pocketed the fees.
The fathers set the policy. The sons cashed in.
Six days after the Trump sons and their partners moved their money, Lutnick signed the final deal.
The reporting found one or both families have financial ties to at least 14 companies working with the government on critical mining deals.
The total federal funding flowing toward those companies tops $8.9 billion.
This is your tax money.
It is supposed to secure our supply chains and protect our troops, not pad the portfolios of the President’s children and the Commerce Secretary’s children.
This is the most corrupt administration in American history. It is not close.
We must keep digging, and keep asking the questions they do not want asked. Republicans in Congress are unwilling to lift a finger. Mike Johnson is running a protection racket.
Either we will end the corruption, or the corruption will be the end of us.

WWII Veteran and Purple Heart recipient Robert Hilliard:
"Next week I'll be 101 years old. In February 1944 when I was 18 years old I was inducted into the army and what they taught me to do there was to kill people who set up detention camps. Can you imagine how I felt earlier this year when they announced that one of the future detention camps would be at that same camp landing in Florida? We have a fascist, a fascist government, that allows innocent people to be put in detention camps and incarcerated."

BREAKING: It happened again.
Trump fell asleep during a public event in the Oval Office. Shame on his family and advisers for putting him through this. This is elder abuse.
25th Amendment now!
AOC: Mike Johnson paints this as though it’s some partisan witch hunt. But if you don’t want to be prosecuted for crimes, don’t do crimes.
And he’s talking about running a protection racket. And we are already seeing that this Trump administration has run what some have called one of the largest pedophile protection programs in American history.
And so when Mike Johnson tells a group of wealthy donors, I'm the only thing standing between you, and a consequence that should rattle at the conscience of every American.
What he wants to do is create—or rather, not even create, because it’s already been created—but protect a class of impunity in America that says, “You can commit whatever crime, and so long as you pay a check to us, we will protect you.”
And that is a model of extortion in American politics. And you know what? That’s their pitch.
Marco Rubio on why Trump's son in law, Michael Boulos, who has no government role, was in his official meetings in Kuwait: "He was just here because his brother lives here and I'm a good friend of Michael's, so we had a chance to catch up"
Gov. @JBPritzker: It's always interesting to see what Donald Trump can and can't find money for. Not enough money for Medicaid, SNAP, or the VA, yet somehow enough money to send ICE into our streets, to build a gilded ballroom, to hire the worst contractor in history to renovate the Reflecting Pool. So many of us have sat in horror in the face of Donald Trump's actions, wondering how are we going to repair this country. It's past time that we invoke the 25th Amendment.
Another day, another pathetic White House event in which trump’s sycophants pretend everything’s perfectly normal as #SleepyDon conks out & has a total snoozefest right in front of them. Low Energy! Sad! Get crackin on that book, @jaketapper! #DementiaDon
If Democrats are serious about winning the midterms they need to hire a seasoned spokesperson to hold daily press conferences. They need to challenge the lies and misinformation that the White House spits out every single day.
Massie: "I think it's ironic that we control the House, Senate, Supreme Court, and the White House, and we're yelling 'election fraud'? I mean, we won all the damn elections."
Let me be really clear about what just happened.
The head of the U.S. Postal Service sat in front of the United States Senate and said the quiet part loud: no voter list, no mail ballots. Full stop.
You don’t get to look away from this one.
This is a proposed rule. It’s being fought in court. But the fact that it was said — that a federal official openly threatened to withhold your ballot — that matters.
Your vote is yours. Not the administration’s. Not USPS’s. Yours.
Stay informed. Stay loud.
NEW: A federal judge appointed by George W. Bush has thrown out Justice Department subpoenas targeting Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and his allies, calling them an abusive and retaliatory effort to punish Walz for refusing to assist Trump’s immigration crackdown.
Judge Patrick Schiltz said there was “no doubt” the subpoenas were issued to damage Walz, writing: “Initiating a criminal investigation in order to harass political opponents or to coerce them into taking official action — particularly official action that the federal government cannot directly require those political opponents to take — is a blatantly unlawful and unethical use the grand-jury process.”
