This is what happened on expiry day
Sensex 78,000 Call went from 2 to 80
Sensex 78,000 Put went from 166 to 0
Why? The indicative equilibrium price which was 78,860 till 3.28 suddenly became 79,080 at close. This is not right. This is turning option trading into gambling. At this rate, nobody will be willing to sell options.
@_anujsinghal F&O contracts on expiry day should expire before the CAS window. The VWAP for the closing price should be calculated using the 30 minutes before expiry, with live monitoring of large players’ positions during that window. This could address concerns around manipulation.
@_anujsinghal@_anujsinghal I appreciate Anuj Singal Sir for raising the issue of CAS and highlighting the genuine apprehensions of retail traders. If there are flaws in the system, they must be addressed before they can potentially cause huge losses to retail investors someday.
SEBI chief said he is open to suggestions on CAS if any tweak is needed. However he made it clear that it’s a transparent system with no manipulation.
What changes do you want ? Post using hashtag #CASKiAwaaz and we will collate them and send to SEBI.
@_anujsinghal Glad to see that mainstream media is supporting retail Traders and talking against this bastard Govt.
Modi and his third class Govt. is financial disaster for our Country.
No Trade Day 📵📈
In support of traders, I’m observing a No Trade Day due to CAS.
As I’m a positional trader, I do have existing positions, but I will not adjust, exit, or take any new orders today.
Sometimes, standing together matters more than trading.
Support Traders. 🤝
I am not trading today after SEBI introduced CAS. It has created a new market structure, and there are legitimate concerns about how the closing price can be influenced under the new mechanism.

@rishabhp4982@yadavakhilesh Bewkoof insan hai tu, apna dimag ka ilaz karwa jake. Kahi Rajput nata bhi hoga to ladai karega, Brahman low IQ bhi hoga tere jaisa tab bhi wo padhai karega. Isi system ke wajah se 2000 saal tak sui bhi nahi bana paya India.
CAS does not need anyone to manipulate anything.
That is the problem with it.
Buy the index fund. Take the position on the index. The fund is then obliged to buy at the close, and the close is set by whatever clears in a window where cash turnover can be ₹100-200 crore on some expiry days.
Nobody has broken a rule. Nobody has coordinated with anybody. Intent cannot be established because none is required.
The regulator will now investigate, find nothing provable, and write a new rule to close a gap it opened itself.
Aa bhains mujhe maar.
