The BDS (Baseball Derangement Syndrome) is getting worse and worse!:

-Unqualified and uneducated “instructors” giving horrible advice and information that actually makes players worse, but yet parents keep paying and wasting their hard earned money

-Parental gossip and ignorance about “showcases” and “exposure” and what it really takes to play at the next level, being fooled and scammed out of their money

-The “club” and “travel ball” world is so diluted with no focus on improvement, development, instruction, or team, just selfishness trying to go viral on social media, and playing boring games going through the motions

-A lack of appreciation for a coach’s effort and sacrifice,but instead they get slandered, picked apart over stupid issues and constantly having to deal with unimportant “parental” problems

-A lack of respect for your opponents and umpires, showing up the other team, stupid and disrespectful dugout chirp, punky trash talk, demeaning umpires and treating them like garbage

-A lack of commitment to any team, when things don’t go your way, you just transfer or quit and hope the grass is greener somewhere else, but guess what?! It’s usually the same grass just in a different spot. You don’t ever compete for it, you just complain, make excuses and expect it to be different somewhere else, and yes, I’m talking to both player AND parents

Really though,
WHAT ARE WE DOING?!

I can literally go on and on, but when does the BDS nonsense stop?!

@LegendaryEnergy Teach them to critically think and then give them chances to use that judgement at a young age. I would say the overemphasis of being educated in college. Being educated is vital, but when kids grow up believing education only comes in the university setting…

If not, you have no business going to a showcase, because you're not physical enough to be recruitable.
