Governments destroyed it intentionally to replace you with imported low grade “human cattle”

For decades, both Labor and Liberal governments dismantled the apprenticeship system that once built the Australian middle class. They shut technical schools, gutted TAFE funding, pushed every kid toward university and convinced parents that trades were somehow a lesser path in life.

A generation ago, a young bloke could leave school, get an apprenticeship, buy a house, raise a family and eventually run his own business. Trades gave working Australians dignity, stability and ownership.

Now young Australians are pushed into HECS debt for degrees that often lead nowhere, while the country desperately screams out for builders, electricians, plumbers and mechanics.

And after creating the shortage themselves, the political class uses it to justify mass migration.

They destroyed the local training pipeline, then imported sub par labour to replace the workforce we stopped producing ourselves.

Meanwhile, Australian kids can’t afford homes. Apprentices drop out because they can’t survive financially. Small builders can’t find workers. Projects stall. Infrastructure falls behind.

As a builder myself, I’ve watched this happen in real time for years. Older tradesmen retire with nobody replacing them. Young blokes who would’ve made excellent tradies get funnelled into universities because politicians and institutions spent 30 years telling them success only exists behind a desk.

The result is a country that imports workers because it no longer backs its own people properly.

And this wasn’t just economic stupidity. Trades once gave young Australians identity, discipline, purpose and a pathway into ownership. We didn’t just lose skills, we lost part of the culture that made Australia functional.

A country that cannot train its own builders eventually cannot sustain itself.
A country that doesn’t provide the incentives for people to take the risk to be builders, cannot sustain itself.
