This lawsuit was first obtained and exclusively reported by @Nancy__Dillon of @RollingStone. The story was then widely picked up by major outlets including Billboard, Complex, The Hollywood Reporter, NBC, the Los Angeles Times, and others. Only Billboard has reported the dismissal so far.

A federal judge has dismissed a class action lawsuit claiming Spotify turns a “blind eye” to bots and allows billions of fake streams for Drake and other major artists.

The lawsuit was filed by rapper RBX and took particular aim at Drake as an example of the alleged issue, though Drake was not named as a defendant.

“Billions of fraudulent streams have been generated with respect to songs of ‘the most streamed artist of all time,’ Aubrey Drake Graham, professionally known as Drake,” RBX’s lawyers wrote.

RBX has 21 days to refile an updated version of the case.

In 2003 during the height of the Stop & Frisk era where black men were literally being grabbed off the streets and searched, instead of standing with niggas Jay Z had the 40/40 club to open so he got cozy with all those same politicians that were passing those laws.

In 2004 when he became Def Jam president, damn near every hot artist on that label talked about how instead of breaking down the power imbalance so that black artists could eat fairly with one of our own as President, he hoarded all the resources to himself and was blocking legends like DMX, LL, Beans, sold out Ye's masters for to secure his own.

In 2006 when the owner of Cristal said that he thinks black people and hip hop fans are bringing unwanted attention to his liqour, JAY Z called for a boycott on them. He then bought a huge share in Ace of Spades, spent years trying to shift everyone over there, just to sell his shares back to the white people that run LVMH.

In 2011 during the Occupy Wallstreet movement he took their whole shit and made Occupy All Streets shirts and didn't share none of the proceeds with the actual people protesting. He literally took an anti-corporate protest and found a way to enrich himself from it.

In 2012 when he decided that he was going to move the Nets to Brooklyn, his OWN COMMUNITY told him that it would displace hundreds of families, primarily black families that have been living there for years and years. Jay Z didn't give a fuck, they took those people's homes for imminent domain because he said he would create thousands of jobs for the culture and to this day people are still waiting for those jobs. He forced his own people out for a stadium for a team that still hasn't won any rings since they've been in Brooklyn, go Knicks, fuck the Nets.

In 2013 when Barney's racially profiled a man and his girlfriend, causing police to arrest and question them when they LEGALLY purchased everything they had causing everyone to stop going there, Jay Z ran to go make a deal with them right away and say no actually they're cool guys, look let me do a holiday collab with them.

In 2015 Jay Z launched Tidal preaching about Black Ownership in the music business trying to get every artist in the culture to go and sign their rights away to him, then he ran right to Jack Dorsey to sell Tidal and all that ownership over to him while some people are still waiting to be paid.

In 2017 Jay Z Produced "Time: The Kalief Browder Story" a documentary about how terrible the criminal justice and cash bail systems are, that also has a heavy focus on the prison industrial complex in general. In 2019 he then invested in Promise, an app that partners with police and the government to literally use GPS tracking to track, monitor, and surveil anyone on probation or parole in the US. He literally made a documentary about the evils of policing and then directly invested into the digital police state.

Starting in 2020, the Chateau Marmont hotel in Hollywood was placed under a boycott due to allegations of physical abuse, racial discrimination to black and brown employees, and massive layoffs of their staff. This boycott went on until Jay Z decided Chateau Marmont would be the perfect place for his Gold Party in 2022, directly crossing the picket line because fuck it I guess he NEEDED to have his party there.

Now in 2026 during an active Target Boycott, Jay Z who owns his own masters, distribution and publishing, actively decided to make a deal with Target so they can sell exclusive Reasonable Doubt vinyls because that's the Industry Standard due to UMG (owned by white men) having a deal with them. He could've went anywhere else, he chose to go there because he puts on the air of being a boss and a leader but he got all his masters back just to follow the white line I guess.

I wouldn't be surprised if next he drops a collab with an Asian Hair Supply store, this guy is not kinfolk, he's extremely predatory and the list goes on and on and on.
