I'm not a fact checker. If I start tweeting about false information and narratives I come across, even 24 hours in a day would not be enough.
Yesterday, a major job fair was held in Chennai with over 80,000 youth participating. Out of these, 30,000 youth received offer letters across sectors including manufacturing, Software, BFSI, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, transportation, and more.
Over 600 leading companies took part.
When 50,000+ jobs are on offer, participation of 80,000+ candidates is expected, often even 2x or 3x the number of openings. That’s normal for large scale recruitment drives.
Yet I see videos using different angles of the crowd with melancholic background music, claiming "lakhs of people are desperate for employment in Tamil Nadu."
I don’t understand what people gain by spreading such falsehoods.
Which number actually shows desperation?
50,000+ job openings in Chennai, or
600+ companies offering employment opportunities, or
80,000 youth participating in one job fair, or
A whopping 30,000 youth securing employment in a single event
Let’s stick to facts instead of manufacturing negative narratives.
Positive developments like this deserve accurate reporting.
@baasha_coolie If it was so easy why didn't Rajini do it? Why did Kamal win 0 seats in 2021? Why did everyone say nobody will be able to replicate what MGR did?
