The sit-in of BYC leaders inside the jail is continuing. Today is the sixth day of it. It started against the faceless trials of their proceedings.
The situation began when the Prosecutor General of Balochistan came to a trial, pressured the judge, and said that he was sent by the Home Department of Balochistan. After that, the judge converted the trials into faceless ones with day to day proceedings.
In these faceless trials, the judge, prosecutor, witnesses, BYC leaders, and their lawyers are all will be in different rooms, connected only through a screen. No one will knows who the witness is or from where they are giving their testimony. We cannot even submit a single application in this process. Neither the judge nor the jail staff facilitating the faceless trials, accepts any application.
My sister and other BYC Leaders are not even getting a chance for a fair trial. We will fight till the end, and the state must be clear that we will not back off and will continue to stand and resist this oppression.
The families and lawyers are not allowed to meet them. We make it clear to the establishment that if we are not allowed to meet them, then we will stage a protest or a sit-in.
Our next step will be announced later.

Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s @KhawajaMAsif statement is nothing more than an attempt to spread propaganda against the indigenous national movement of Baloch nation.
Everyone knows that, at various times, Pakistan’s rulers have blamed India, Afghanistan, the United States, Russia, and Iran for supporting the Baloch struggle, just in an effort to justify their occupation of Balochistan and conceal their own failures. In reality, such accusations are an admission of the failure of their own policies.
We have repeatedly made it clear that this is a national liberation struggle being waged for the restoration of freedom of Balochistan. This struggle will continue until it reaches its ultimate objective.
Khawaja Asif should understand that he represents an occupying state. Neither the power of the Pakistani state nor its claims can outweigh the legitimate national rights of the Baloch people. Nor can such propaganda eliminate our indigenous national movement.
History has repeatedly shown that national liberation movements cannot be permanently suppressed through force. Khawaja Asif should learn from the history of his ally, the United States, which itself emerged from a struggle against colonial rule. In the same way, Balochistan will continue its struggle for the restoration of its national identity and freedom, and will ultimately achieve its rightful destination.

•Why are identity-based movements often viewed as threats to state stability?
•What role do grassroots movements play when people lose faith in parliamentary politics?
•What common concerns and aspirations unite Pashtun, Baloch, Sindhi, Gilgiti, Kashmiri, and other oppressed movements?
•Can political stability exist without addressing the demands of oppressed nations?
•When communities describe their struggle as a fight for existence, what specific threats do they believe endanger their collective survival.

The secretive and prolonged trials of BYC leaders once again expose the true nature of the Pakistani state’s treatment of the Baloch nation. When court proceedings are hidden from public scrutiny and conducted through remote links after more than a year of detention, it raises serious questions.
For decades, Baloch people have witnessed enforced disappearances, arbitrary detentions, extrajudicial killings, and politically motivated prosecutions. Today no one trusts in Pakistan’s courts and state institutions.
Open and transparent trials are not privileges; they are basic constitutional and legal safeguards which BYC demands. The continued targeting of peaceful political activists and human rights defenders demonstrates a pattern of aggression aimed at silencing the Baloch voices.
We stand with the detained BYC leaders and their demands of fair, public, and transparent proceedings. The international community and human rights organizations must take notice of these ongoing violations and hold Pakistan accountable for its unlawful actions.

The Unfair Judicial Trial of Dr. Mahrang Baloch and her Comrades - BNM's Statement
The spokesperson for the Baloch National Movement (BNM) has expressed deep concern over the state's attempts to punish Dr. Mahrang Baloch and her companions through sham judicial proceedings. In a statement, the spokesperson said that the State of Pakistan is attempting to punish the imprisoned leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), Dr. Mahrang Baloch, and her comrades through a fabricated judicial process. Pakistan's judicial system is merely a puppet subordinate to Pakistan Army authorities; the cases of Mahrang Baloch and her associates are being heard through an unjust 'Faceless Court' established inside Hudda Jail (Shaal), which is a ridiculous mockery of justice by the state.

The mother of Mohd Ali Lango, a resident of Balochistan who was forcibly disappeared, says that nearly 2 years have passed since her son’s disappearance. Yet, he has neither been produced before a court nor has any information regarding his whereabouts been provided to the family
Congratulations to Imaan Mazari @ImaanZHazir and Hadi Ali Chatta @AdvHadiali on being awarded the 2026 Ludovic-Trarieux International Human Rights Prize.
This prestigious recognition is not only a tribute to their courage and unwavering commitment to justice, but also a powerful indictment of the Pakistani state’s persecution of lawyers, human rights defenders, and dissenting voices.
While they remain unlawfully imprisoned, the world has acknowledged what their jailers cannot erase: their integrity, sacrifice, and dedication to defending fundamental rights.
No prison cell can silence the truth, and no act of repression can diminish the honor they have earned. Their continued detention remains a stain on Pakistan’s human rights record.
Wishing them strength, resilience, and a swift release. History stands with those who defend human dignity, not those who seek to crush it.

My sister, Beebow Baloch, along with other BYC leaders, has now spent four days on a sit-in inside jail. Our family has not been allowed to see her, and even their lawyers continue to be denied access.
Not knowing how they are, especially in this extreme heat, is heartbreaking. We are deeply concerned for their health and safety as they continue their peaceful protest under such difficult conditions.
I urge human rights organizations, journalists, lawyers, and all those who believe in justice to raise their voices and demand that Beebow Baloch and other BYC leaders be granted access to their families, legal counsel, and their basic rights.
