@KsSoybean Planting excites me because it’s the beginning of another year of getting to do what I love to do, being an American Farmer, plant the seeds pray for adequate rain, and in the fall with Gods help, harvest a bountiful crop.
@phelon21@SiekerSales Sounds like me and Marc Lee at the Dew Drop inn at Osage drinking tomato beers, I think is was $.50 for a regular draw, $.60 for a tomato beer. RIP Marc.
Combining some corn, beans are a week or two out before they are ready to harvest. Yields a little lower than I’d like, but ok for some of the hot weather (100 deg.) days we had.
April 20, 2021, 8:30 am. About 4” snow. Beans up .24, Corn up .05, wheat up only .05. Makes no sense to me, I would have thought wheat would be up .24???
@NeverBeenWeller@mbeying If you leave a refrigerator cold corn farmer beer Busch light in the freezer for 17 minutes, that is the optimum time it takes for the perfect coldness and ready to be drank.
@MullengerTravis@MachineryPete I spent countless hours on a machine just like that that my dad bought new in 1961 It had a 40 bushel bin 10 foot platform two row corn head, model built before catalytic converter so run good on regular gas
Spent the morning with Osage city second graders, teaching them about how soybeans grow, what they're used for, and what equipment is used to plant and harvest soybeans. And to top it all, they all got to sit on a tractor! Thanks Adam Phelon who helped and KSC for the giveaways
