@ChubbyFunsterGC It didnt go off the rails, the interstate was invented. This is one of the first editions that was essentially free once the internet got a hold of it. More people play than ever before because you can get it almost effortlessly, which makes it more susceptible to criticism.
5e is the first digital battleground edition. Everything before it had the same delivery system, and opening the ability to play the game without ever having to own any of the material was a gamechanger on a massive scale. It didnt go off the rails, the semi truck was invented.
@GaryD20Games It is gonna be something to see how they spin the setting. Arthas is a cruel, gritty(literally) world were death is more common than water.
Starting with all 8's, then surviving is the most roleplayingest roleplay you can roleplay. Math be damned'd git good'r #gitgood#dungeongains#ShadowDark#DnD
Raptor Ruckus just hit Kickstarter!
A d20, BORG-like game of Jurassic Park-style survival horror. I hopped on with this ragtag crew to dev edit and pen a few scenarios. #notmydinos

@DwarvenDM I've also noticed that when you do get one of those Die Hard Editioneers, the edition they swear by...they always mod it or use variant rules for it.
@osgamer74 I agree. I live by the " Only explain if it's relevant" principle. If the players need the knowledge, or seek it out, then I worry about it, otherwise, it's a great unknown mystery deal
@thiseffingm Every once in a while, we'll jump back into 3rd for a couple weeks, or we'll do a Castles and Crusades romp. We jumped back in during college, and honestly, it sparked my love of DnD back up
@DungeonNoir People look at "remake" and immediately think "replace". I say any vision someone has, let 'em fire if they have the capital to burn. The first Crow movie was Iconic, influential, and made in a time where you could appreciate when you got a banger. Now, its flash fry fandoms.
