Satellite imagery of the US-operated Kadena Air Base located in Japan appeared on the monitor during recent exercises conducted by the People's Liberation Army Rocket Force (PLARF) of the People's Republic of China.
The object would likely become a priority target for Chinese missile strikes in case of a major kinetic conflict between the United States and China due to its strategic importance. The base is a major United States Air Force (USAF) hub in the Pacific region, housing a number of USAF units. One of them is the 18th Wing -
The Kadena Air Base is situated on the Japanese island of Okinawa, approximately 700 kilometers from mainland China. It remains within range of numerous types of missiles operated by the PLARF, including DH-10 and DF-100 cruise missiles, as well as DF-17 and DF-21 ballistic missiles.
A recruitment system is judged not only by the jobs it fills, but by the trust it inspires among those who compete for them. The outcome of Jharkhand's ongoing examination controvɇrsy may shape confidence in public recruitment for years to come.

Straight Question:
Indian Communists or non-Indians?
Because Vietnam & China will beg to seriously differ...
So, it comes back, if it is not Communism which is the problem ... what is then, the problem?
Hint: you may need to revisit history & wonder why India was a slave.
The Pakistani military establishment has long abused Islam as a tool to suppress the democratic rights of the people of Pakistan and has misled them for years. The same military committed genocide against the people of Bangladesh in 1971 and tried to justify its actions in the name of religion. In the end, however, it was forced to surrender, proving that the Almighty was not on its side.
Unfortunately, some bigots in Bangladesh—whom we refer to as the descendants of the Razakars (collaborators of the Pakistani army)—are still influenced by this misguided narrative and continue to act against the interests of Bangladesh.
Notice that most of the people she thanks here are men. Her father, most of all, but also others.
Despite the insanity you see on social media, this is how gender relations work in the real world.
Men and women help each other achieve greatness that they otherwise wouldn't be able to on their own.
Double Victory in Triple Jump!
Many congratulations to Selva Prabhu Thirumaran on winning Bronze in the Men's Triple Jump at #CWG2026. This double podium finish along with Praveen's Silver has brought the whole country great joy and pride.

True for western democracies too. You cant suddenly turn up w/a 50k crowd on Times Square if you felt like exercising democratic rights, you need to take NYPD permissions. Civilised societies have a social contract w/the state, essential part of the same is public order..
Magnetic poles wander. Stars don't.
If ancient navigators used magnetic compasses, they'd have drifted 15 degrees off course--missing ports by hundreds of kilometers across the Indian Ocean.
Look at the data: Between 1859 and 2020, the North Magnetic Pole shifted dramatically. Not fixed. Not reliable. Drifting across the Arctic at accelerating speeds--from 15 km/year in the 1990s to 55 km/year by 2020.
A 15° deviation? That's the difference between landing in Kerala and ending up near the Maldives.
Yet we learned in school that the magnetic compass enabled ancient maritime trade. Silk routes. Spice routes. Indian Ocean networks connecting Arabia, Africa, Southeast Asia.
The technology gets the credit.
Meanwhile, ancient navigators were reading the sky. 🌟
Dhruva Tara (Polaris). Saptarishi (Ursa Major). Agastya (Canopus). Stellar positions--fixed, predictable, calibrated across generations. Monsoon wind patterns. Ocean current knowledge. Multi-generational route memory passed through families of navigators.
No drift. No deviation. Just centuries of accumulated astronomical precision.
We called it primitive. We waited for the "advanced" magnetic compass to arrive.
But which system was actually more sophisticated?
The one that relied on a wandering magnetic field nobody could predict? Or the one that mapped celestial geometry and seasonal patterns into an unbroken navigational framework?
Tamil, Arab, and Austronesian navigators crossed open ocean for millennia before magnetic compasses became standard. They didn't need them. They had something better--knowledge systems that didn't depend on unstable planetary magnetism. 🧭
The compass made navigation easier, maybe. But it didn't make it possible.
Colonial maritime histories credited European instruments. Meanwhile, the astronomical navigation systems that actually enabled ancient trade networks got filed under "traditional knowledge."
Same ocean. Different recognition.
When your textbooks celebrate the tool but erase the system that worked for 2,000 years before it, whose sophistication are you learning?
Horrible. Disgusting. Shame!
Just because you hate an ideology or a person for their views, doesn’t give you a right to abuse all senior citizens. Difference of opinion exists everywhere. How can you generalise to Dog Whistle hate against entire Indian senior citizen community?
“Firstly, China opposes all forms of illegal migration. At the same time, all sides need to enhance coordination to properly address the relevant issues,” Chinese FM spokesperson Mao Ning said at a press briefing on Friday, in response to a foreign media inquiry over a large-scale migrant influx in Ceuta, Spain’s enclave in North Africa.
#China’s Ministry of Commerce (#MOFCOM) announced on Friday that it will extend its anti-dumping investigation into pea starch imports originating in #Canada by six months to February 12, 2027, citing the complexity of the case. The investigation was launched on August 12, 2025, in accordance with China’s Anti-Dumping Regulations.
US now saying Ceuta and Melilla not part of Spain. Not sure this is a veiled or unveiled threat against Spain’s territorial integrity but at least Spanish government knows where the threat will come from and it’s not Iran
