We’ve seen the conversation about cheaters, toxicity, and competitive integrity in Marathon, so here’s a quick update from our Product Security team.

Detection & enforcement: We have a zero-tolerance policy around cheating. We’re actively banning confirmed cheaters and expanding our telemetry and detection methods to better catch the aforementioned cheaters. Some of this work is live already, and more improvements will roll out over the coming weeks. Anti-cheat is a continuous cycle of monitoring, improving, and responding. This is an area that we will continue to invest in to protect the integrity of your runs.

Reporting tools: We’re iterating on reporting for both cheating and toxic behavior:
➡️ Making it easier to flag suspected cheaters in-game and via our web tools.
➡️ Improving how you report harassment and other Code of Conduct violations.
➡️ Exploring in‑game mailbox messages so that when a report you filed leads to action, we can follow-up and let you know.

Voice & comms: Longer term, we’re investing in better voice chat moderation tools to help us more reliably act on repeat abusers in proximity and team chat, alongside the tools provided by each platform.

Stream sniping: We know stream sniping is a real pain point, especially in Ranked. We’re working with our Trust & Safety and design teams on better in-game protections, like name privacy options.

To add context: Full team was teleporting around and one shot us within 30sec of the match starting. Cool stuff. 15k loadouts gone. Cheaters ruin video games, but devs who clearly don't know how to stop cheaters are just enablers. D2 has the same exact issue.

The fact that @MarathonTheGame is now having a cheater problem in not only ranked but NORMALS is insane. @MarathonDevTeam needs to get their shit together bc this is how you kill an extraction game before it even gets off the ground. First step at least is to add a report button

I had to stop playing Destiny because of how horribly executed Edge of Fate was. I had hoped Renegades would be good enough to bring me back. Well, unfortunately, Destiny 2: Star Wars Edition might be the worst expansion ever released. I don't even want to finish it to be honest.

Pokemon Z-A beaten! Overall it was alright. Story was okay, characters were pretty flat. Lumiose is repetitive and uninteresting in terms of world design. Real time battles were cool. Needs refinement, but a step in the right direction. I had fun, which I couldn't say about ScVi!
