It’s registered in Russia (RA-****) and operated by the Russian cargo company Volga-Dnepr.
Canada confirmed the seizure in 2023, and the ongoing legal process concerns the confiscation — not the aircraft’s origin. The plane is indeed Russian.

@choucroute_67 Les USA arrangent leurs comptes comme ils veulent, mais on nous dit que tout ira bien. Pendant ce temps, l’Europe est à la traîne après des décennies de désinvestissement. Si on en est déjà aux mesures extrêmes avec les avoirs russes, la suite fait vraiment peur.
