A celebrity posted a rather sexual and raunchy video of herself on social media.
It contains all you would expect: nudity, sensuality, exposed cleavage, and underwear.
Her appearance is nothing close to what a Christian who walks by the Spirit would look like.
But the celebrity is a star member of a popular Nigerian ministry.
In fact, the pastor does not spare any opportunity to spotlight the celebrity in the middle of service, post photographs of the celebrity on the church's social media pages, and always offer public endorsement for her.
We are highlighting this for several reasons. Firstly, this appears to be a major symptom of the state of our church.
A state in which we tolerate both the things of God and the things of the flesh in God's holy house.
This was what Jesus Christ warned the church of Thyatira against, saying they hold on to the teaching of Jezebel while still being a church of Jesus:
“But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.” (Revelation 2:20)
This is the case with this sort of church. Secondly, this shows the legitimacy of the ministry of this pastor.
According to Paul the Apostle, it is the level of the transformation of the members into the image of Christ that validates a pastor's ministry.
It is not the crowd or the branches. See this:
“You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us…” (2 Corinthians 3:2–3)
Which brings us to the final point for why we are saying this:
Paul instructs the members of Christ's body to stay away from the works of the flesh.
In most of his epistles, that was his emphasis.
Part of what he listed were sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, and licentiousness:
“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality… drunkenness, orgies, and things like these.” (Galatians 5:19–21)
Now, this pastor not only does not rebuke this member for this carnal behavior, but openly endorses this celebrity and, indirectly, her lifestyle.
This is the state of a major part of the church in Nigeria. This goes on, and the pastor still rejoices and is comfortable.
This should not be. It should cause us to pass righteous and fierce judgment on such matters.
It should provoke a reaction from us, but it has not.
This is not of God.

See you tomorrow, sir!
I used to think a father figure wasn’t that important.
I was wrong.
Today I helped my aunt, a single mum, babysit her 3 kids for a few hours. No judgement, just observation.
From their behaviour, it was clear what was missing: firm lessons on boundaries and masculine guidance.
Having 2 parents present isn’t a luxury, It’s an advantage.
DSS arrested a food vendor in Enugu for selling food to IPOB members,
but they haven’t arrested the government officials who strike peace deals with terrorist in the North.
Alex Otti has crashed cost of transportation in Abia state following his provision of electric buses.
From Umuahia to Aba is now N500. Instead of the usual N1,200.
That person wey wan commot Otti by 2027, I hope you have actually prepared your will. 😂🫵
Trademark.
This is the same bike they demanded from us last month, when they kidnapped one of our members. Each of that bike is over 2m Naira and the evil monsters were demanding for five. Like 5 bikes!!!
I told the negotiator to tell the beasts that if the brother's family could afford such a ransom, would he be in the sort of public vehicle from whence they kidnapped him? People with that kind of money don't travel on such roads as passengers in public buses. 5 bikes, how!?
Nigeria! See, this is not how to be a nation.
WATCH THIS VIDEO AND HEAR ME OUT IN TWO (PERSONAL) STORIES
My wife has not been able to get the indigeneship certificate from her actual state of origin. Why. Because she converted to Christianity. Yes. Sokoto state has denied her the so-called "state of origin certificate," despite many efforts.
In fact, after our wedding, I insisted that she try again. She traveled up to Sokoto, spent a full week there and came back empty handed. They refused to issue her the certificate.
Today, her state of origin certificate is from my state, not her father's state. Again, I'll remind you why: because she converted to Christianity. They told her in clear and plain terms. They re-emphasized it in the Hausa language at the office in Sokoto, to make it crystal clear. They were not going to issue her the certificate because she is a Christian.
So, a few months after our wedding, 17 years ago, she was admitted to the Nigerian Law School (NLS). We heard that Sokoto state gave out 500,000 Naira and a laptop to each indigene of the state who got admitted to the NLS. But my wife almost missed resumption because we could not raise 240,000 Naira to pay her fees. We had just married, but wedding aside, I was normally and naturally broke. But then, by a 'miracle', we managed to raise the fee a day to the closing date of registration.
Story two:
While I was in Unijos, I knew Christian students from Bauchi state who were constantly denied their state's bursary, because, you guessed it, they are Christians. The scholarship board would somehow omit their names from the approved bursary list. They can tell that you're a Christian just by your name, even without ever meeting/knowing you.
So, when the affected students appealed, the state's student association would encourage them to go and file a complaint. Usually, after a lot of back and forth, and traveling back to Bauchi to report the omission, traveling to their local government to obtain validation letters and then providing proof on indigeneship, 1. They would have spent about the equivalent of the bursary amount on logistics and transportation. 2. They would finally be told that the year's bursary program had ended, and that they should wait for the following year. The following year, the same “omission mistake” would happen. Rinse and repeat.
Therefore, while thy government agency and the officials in charge would never tell them that they were being victimized because of their Christian faith, both sides of the drama knew. It was just a power play and the Christians could do nothing about it.
Those brethren went through this ordeal and graduated, never receiving this statutory benefit from their state, even though they qualified for it. Their only offense was that they were in the wrong religion.
Time would fail me to multiply these stories.
There has been a systematic, systemic assault on Christians and Christianity in these parts. What you hear in the attached video is the normal experience of many Christians who happen to be minorities in their state. The genocide dimension is simply one segment of an elaborate, diabolical, subjugation project.
It has only been getting worse.
But it has to stop!
And some are trying to revise reality, because it's not history, yet. This is an ongoing, unfolding evil of genocidal proportions.
The terrorists' M.O is:
invade a settlement, sack the natives, occupy their ancestral land & rename their village.
Yet, to you, USA is the problem
We’re comfortable in the southern churches. We plan conferences in peace.
We fill stadiums and take safety for granted. Northern churches can’t hold service without an armoured vehicle outside.
Chills run through us as we write. God forbid a church in Ikeja be bombed before we wake.
Oh, Jerusalem — the men of Moab who attack Israel in the north will soon come to Judah in the south.
You are not safe or special. You are on the menu. It’s only not your turn yet.
Southern churches, speak up for those in the north as if they were your own members. The militants who would kill us are already here; they only wait for orders.
They have weapons and funding. The media won’t always report it. We beg you: speak up.
If we don’t speak, we may die. If we speak, we may survive. Why remain silent?
You have far more influence than northern leaders. Your YouTube channels and Instagram pages reach more than the entire Middle Belt’s clout.
Jerusalem, speak up for Israel — her enemies will come for you too. Act now.
