New Dietitian Café #RD2B episode discusses pathways to becoming a dietitian. Neve is joined by @KatieAvis4 & @zainabs263 who are studying dietetics at UCL. Together with Neve, they share their experiences as student dietitians, drawing on the differences between MSc & BSc courses
@KatieAvis4 and I were recently given the opportunity to attend a trends panel discussion on immune health @FoodMattersLive on behalf of @HRSComms during our placement. Please take out a few minutes to read this blog we wrote about our learnings and experience!
Happy AHPs day! 🎉 As a student dietitian, I’m delighted knowing that I’ll be part a workforce where our achievements are so recognised and celebrated! #AHPsDay2022

Time to meet Dr. Adrian Brown @BrownAdey 🤩 A research fellow at UCL, Vice Chair of the @bda_obesity group, weight management dietitian and the list goes on! ⚖️ It’s RDs like him who leave their mark on dietetics and we couldn’t feel more honored to have him interviewed 🙏🏼
What led me to dietetics? My passion for nutrition, drive to help others and love for a good old natter (to name a few). Working face to face with patients and witnessing the positive impact that diet can have on health is why I’m a proud Dietitian 2 be! #DW2022@Rd2bUcl
Interesting talk today on #plantbased based diets for children #CWTplantbased from @CWTFood by @kids_dietitian Paula Hallam - Do not forget key nutrients [vit D, B12, iodine, EPA/DHA] but also good fats to provide energy and absorption of fat soluble vitamins
I’m on placement 2a at @RoyalFreeNHS, currently within the astounding oncology dept. One lesson I’ve learned? You can never be too prepared! The challenges, adaptation, and unique characteristics of every single patient within each and every speciality is what I love. #DW2022
@BDA_Dietitians Dietitians don’t tell you to stop eating all the foods you love. We work with you to help you discover what works best for you and is most suited to your needs! #DW2022#WhatDietitiansDont
Placement 2a week 9 @GreatOrmondSt (where did the time go?)
One of my key learnings:
The importance of flexibility and adaptability in dietetics.
Remember that things don’t always go to plan, the key is to adapt to the situation at hand to efficiently meet patient needs!
