@gawdgriggs Grigsby I know you probably don't mean it, but it's very tone deaf sharing an AI clip just to flex for an announcement. And on top of that it's AI layering over a rapper who is now dead. Please don't engage in this.
It's been a wild ride.
Take a journey through the Dark Aether story that started all the way back in Black Ops Cold War Zombies, before we say goodbye... until next time.
Maya’s Voice Actress confirmed Treyarch know of the Feet Memes, and added it to a ‘Rex Infernus’ Radio:
💥 She asked while recording if it was a reference — “the team was like ‘yes - very much so.’”

Mind you last year we had literally only one playlist with SBMM (Standard Moshpit) and people still said it was them trying to rugpull. What's the excuse for it this time now?
@TheKorborium It's ok to be disappointed and feel valid about it. Not everything Treyarch writes will be great or even meet our expectations, and that's ok. The best thing you can hope for is to be able to have a conversation with the devs and tell them how you want things to be better.
@Stanley5574420 -only and it worked better that way. This arc got too convoluted for its own sake, and got too messy for them to tie things together the way they used to. Hopefully this is a lesson for them to control the narrative tighter within the span of just one game.
@Stanley5574420 Treyarch has a habit of creating too many new concepts with each of their releases and failing to tie it together neatly at the end. But back then, they didn't have to commit to delivering an ending that they promised several games ago. Every game committed to telling one story-
@xpertfusion3 The biggest issue is people are refusing to trust COD when it comes to transparency even when the information is laid out in front of them. If the information was corroborated by guys like XclusiveAce, people would start changing their tunes immediately.
Imagine punching in for work every morning and your job is to log into Twitter and explain to COD content creators for the 15th straight year that their base assumptions about how the game works is incorrect lol.
Give this person a raise immediately.
@dkdynamite1 A lot of the backlash is too emotion-driven and people are letting their bias speak instead of considering the data might have some validity to it. It doesn't help that the people who benefit from this are mostly not going to be online expressing how much they like the new MM.
We know some players like Open, but the issues were clear.
For 80% of players in BO7 from launch to Season 04, Open vs. Standard saw:
• 32.7% higher quit rates
• 14.4% fewer kills per minute
• 5.3% lower win rates
• 59.2% more “Not Fun” ratings
On Nuketown 24/7, quit rates jumped 141%. Our most competitive players were leaving 1 in every 3 matches.
Quit rates skyrocketed and it was disruptive across every skill group.
@Kalijvc The gameplay systems are too radically different to normal Warzone, I think. It's good on its own, but when you try to force regular WZ players into it, people just wouldn't care, and frankly I think the Blackout fans have always been largely a minority compared to WZ fans.
@xpertfusion3 Many of these things are debatable, because some people don't like the guesswork involved, plus the design philosophy has clearly changed. IMO, a simple compromise is to force players to check the UI options on first launch (so you can't say you don't know the options are there).
@CODPersonal Moderation on the subs is pretty bad even a few years back when I was part of it, but this might be solvable if you just contact the mods to set things straight.
@xpertfusion3 This is a fundamental misunderstanding of game design, IMO. The UI is busy because the devs want to make sure all the crucial information is presented to the players, and it's up to them to decide what information they don't need. If you make it optional, people will complain
