@pontificatormax@JhWesten@CatholicSOTC@LifeSite on YouTube: https://t.co/ddAIqLkLR3 - Anthony Stine joins John-Henry Westen to assess Pope Leo XIV’s first year and whether hopes for major change in the Catholic Church are fading. The discussion examines Vatican actions involving same-sex blessing debates, synodal initiatives, Church appointments, and tensions over the Traditional Latin Mass and the Society of Saint Pius X. Concerns are raised that deeper questions surrounding authority, doctrine, and Catholic identity remain unresolved. The conversation also explores why some faithful Catholics feel increasingly discouraged or spiritually exhausted
"they refuse to accept some fundamental elements of the Church, starting with several points from the Second Vatican Council" - Pope Leo.
For the sake of absolute clarity on this issue, please name those points explicitly as necessary points of doctrine that binds all the faithful.
BREAKING: Pope Leo on the SSPX consecrations —
“I am considering making another appeal and saying ‘don't do this, let's try to live the communion of the Church.’ But it is their choice.
We must realize what it means for them and for the Church. Certainly, the division among Christians is a painful point.
However, they refuse to accept some fundamental elements of the Church, starting with several points of the Second Vatican Council. If they make that choice, I am sorry. But we must move forward”
JUST IN: Abp Viganò publishes letter he sent to Pope Leo in January.
- He rejects idea that he is schismatic:
“In the face of the excommunication unjustly imposed upon me, I declare that I am not a schismatic! By the grace of God, I am and will remain a devout son of the Holy Roman Church and a faithful subject of the Roman Pontificate”
- Says the Vatican officials in the trial against him were “unable to refute a single one of the arguments I presented. But it was enough for them that I dared to criticize Vatican II and Jorge Mario Bergoglio to condemn me to excommunication for the crime of schism”
- Asks Leo to denounce issues from Francis papacy & to defend doctrine:
“I ask you to exercise your supreme Authority to confirm the brethren in the Faith. I ask you to confirm me in the Faith: please do so.”
- Writes that Vatican II was “intended to be used to revolutionize the entire ecclesial structure and subvert it in all its components: in doctrine, liturgy, discipline, canon law, and especially in its hierarchical constitution”
- Renews request to meet Leo in order to tell him “in person some matters of the utmost importance relating to my apostolic Ministry and the need to ensure its continuity and future.”

SSPX superior Father Pagliarani states that Pope Leo XIV has still not replied to their request to meet prior to consecration date of July 1.
Adds Pope Francis met with him very swiftly.
He states:
I am nonetheless surprised that there has so far been no personal reply or reaction from the Holy Father.
Before possibly declaring schismatic a society which counts more than a thousand members, and which serves as a point of reference for hundreds of thousands of faithful throughout the world, it might be desirable to know personally those who are to be judged.
The envisaged sanction does not affect only an institution (one which, moreover, does not exist in the eyes of the Holy See), it affects persons, and persons deeply attached to the pope and to the Church.
It is perhaps a small detail, but when I asked to meet him at the Vatican, I was granted an audience with him within twenty-four hours, and he was particularly affable.
Rumors are swirling that Leo wants to revoke several Vatican 2 documents. Especially Nostra Aetate which is the cause of so much confusion and division
This is awful: Francis Bergsma, the 15-year-old son of renowned Catholic theologian John Bergsma, has died of brain cancer.
Please pray for Francis and the whole Bergsma family.
