Where is our economy headed? 40 trillion in debt. Middle class can't afford to save or splurge. Poor can't afford anything and are highly reliant on the government. Every business wants a chunk of our monthly earnings; you can't own anything. What got us here, and why does no one want to fix it?
Hit the nail on the head: they are lazy, but also there are expensive legal implications just to get started, no real saas can be cloned in a weekend, the advertising costs are enormous, and the new app lacks reputation. You have to be willing to put in the time and money to make it happen. I spent a year building a competitive invoicing app with pro level features, not exactly a clone, but very difficult to market. I didn't vibe code it either, so it has relatively few bugs. A lot of it also has to do with the industry you are trying to break into. But again, most people aren't going to finish even if they start.
@scottstts I would agree if we continued following Moore's law, but I don't think the technology will advance that far in 10 years. I also believe the macro institutions are pushing us away from owning anything, so if you do have a real in your home, it will be rented monthly.
I fall more into the group that believes AI behavior is due to smooth optimization and data saturation, not a mysterious emergent behavior. Agree? Disagree?
Updating our service list to provide AI Mess Cleanup, which is incoming over the next couple of years. AI should be part of your strategy, not the entire strategy.
From Frontier today (while I've currently been without internet for 8 hours now during my work day):
We know how important a fast, reliable internet connection is for work, school, and staying connected with the people who matter most. As with other companies, our costs of providing these services have risen due to increased network, maintenance, and service expenses.
To continue delivering the quality and innovation you expect, we need to make an adjustment to our pricing. Beginning next month, your monthly internet price will increase up to $15.
