Palestinian Christians are facing an existential threat under Israel’s siege.

Israeli forces appear to be deliberately targeting some of Gaza’s Christians — the oldest Christian community in the world, going back to the first century — with airstrikes and snipers.

Not even elderly women taking refuge in the world’s oldest churches are safe.

Full efforts are not being made to end the war in Gaza, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said in his weekly Friday Sermon:

"Just as I continue to urge people to pray for the Palestinians, I reiterate the need to continue praying. May Allah the Almighty enable the world to truly act against oppression.

Even though louder voices have started to be raised – they say 'oppression is happening, injustice is taking place,' – it seems that everyone is frightened of the Israeli government.

Or, the Western world, by its very nature, is opposed to Muslims. There is hatred there, due to which they desire that injustices against Muslims either do not end, or the efforts that should be made to end them are not made. They do not consider that there are innocent children, innocent women who are being oppressed, and the elderly.

In any case, we can not rely on them much, but efforts should continue to be made to raise awareness and prayers should continue.

May Allah the Almighty grant the Muslim countries the strength to have a forceful voice and by truly becoming united, speak out against this oppression and try to end it."

یاد رکھو کہ کوئی آسمان سے نہیں اترے گا ۔ ہمارے سب مخالف جو اب زندہ موجود ہیں وہ تمام مریں گے اور کوئی ان میں سے عیسیٰ ؑ بن مریم کو آسمان سے اترتے نہیں دیکھے گا۔ اور پھر ان کی اولاد جو باقی رہے گی وہ بھی مرے گی اور ان میں سے بھی کوئی آدمی عیسیٰ ؑ بن مریم کو آسمان سے اترتے نہیں دیکھے گا اور پھر اولاد کی اولاد مرے گی اور وہ بھی مریم کے بیٹے کو آسمان سے اترتے نہیں دیکھے گی۔ تب خدا ان کے دلوں میں گھبراہٹ ڈالے گا کہ زمانہ صلیب کے غلبہ کا بھی گزر گیا۔ اور دنیا دوسرے رنگ میں آ گئی مگر مریم کابیٹا عیسیٰ ؑ اب تک آسمان سے نہ اترا۔ تب دانشمند یک دفعہ اس عقیدہ سے بیزار ہو جائیں گے۔ اور ابھی تیسری صدی آج کے دن سے پوری نہیں ہوگی کہ عیسیٰ ؑ کے انتظار کرنے والے کیا مسلمان اور کیا عیسائی سخت نومید اور بدظن ہو کر اس جھوٹے عقیدہ کو چھوڑیں گے اوردنیا میں ایک ہی مذہب ہو گا اور ایک ہی پیشوا۔ میں تو ایک تخم ریزی کرنے آیا ہوں سو میرے ہاتھ سے وہ تخم بویا گیا اور اب وہ بڑھے گا اور پھولے گا اور کوئی نہیں جو اس کو روک سکے (تذکرۃ الشہادتین، روحانی خزائن جلد ۲۰ صفحہ ۶۷)
