Fanta Orange was created in Italy in 1955 and in Italy it has orange juice in it. In the US it has none. American Fanta is carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, natural flavors, and Yellow 6 and Red 40 for the color. UK Fanta starts with water and orange juice from concentrate, gets its color from carrot and pumpkin extract, and has about a third of the sugar, 4.5g per 100ml against 12.4g in the US.

The UK version isn't clean either. It hit that sugar number by adding acesulfame K and sucralose after Britain put a sugar tax on soda in 2018.

The Italian one is a different drink. Water, orange juice at 12%, sugar, carbonation, citric acid, natural citrus flavors, acacia gum and vitamin C. The oranges are all Italian, mostly Sicily and Calabria, and Coca-Cola says it buys about a quarter of the Italian orange juice that goes into soft drinks. It still can't be called an aranciata. Italian law says you need 20% juice to use that word.

$300,000 in cash can't buy a house. The title company won't take it. Can't buy a car over $10,000 without the dealership filing a form with the IRS. Can't deposit more than $10,000 without the bank filing a report. Can't invest it. Can't get a lease on a storefront with it. Can't pay for a wedding venue. Can't board a plane with it without a conversation

It's paper. It's very heavy paper that everyone he shows it to is legally required to report

The barista has $600 in checking and a 720

She can walk into the business side of a bank's website tonight, type "coffee consulting," and walk out with $30,000 at 0% for a year. Two banks, $60,000. Five, $150,000. Deposited into an account. Spendable on anything with a receipt. Nobody files a form. Nobody asks

That's why cartels pay 10% to 20% to launder money. They are paying a fifth of everything they make to convert cash into what the barista already has for free: money that shows up on a screen with a story attached

The story is the asset. Not the dollars

A 720 with a clean history is a document that says "this person will probably pay this back." Every bank in America will hand you six figures for that document. Cash under a bed is a document that says "ask this person questions"

The dealer's dream is to become the barista. Buy a car wash. Get a business account. Have money that has a reason. He'll spend years and a cut of everything trying to become a person the bank trusts

TRANSITION IS UNSTOPPABLE.
Ugandans have a choice, and that choice must always be respected.

For now, it is President our legendary President, Mzee @KagutaMuseveni whom we should continue to respect, support and work with as he leads our country.

At the same time, many of us see our supreme Chairman General @mkainerugaba as an unmatched and important figure of the new generation, and believe he represents the future of Ugandan leadership and continuity .

We therefore have every right to organise, prepare and build the MK team, while closely working with and supporting our legendary President and father of the nation, H.E. Mzee Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

To those who may disagree, let us compete on ideas and politics, not hostility.

Uganda’s Constitution provides for leadership to be determined through the constitutional and electoral process. So, allow us to prepare our MK team, organise peacefully and make our case to the Ugandan people.

Africa and other constitutional democracies have seen members of the same political families rise to national leadership, including:

🇺🇸 USA: John Adams -John Quincy Adams; George H.W. Bush -George W. Bush.

🇮🇳 India: Jawaharlal Nehru -Indira Gandhi.

🇵🇰 Pakistan: Zulfikar Ali Bhutto -Benazir Bhutto.

🇰🇪 Kenya: Jomo Kenyatta - Uhuru Kenyatta.

These examples demonstrate that successive generations of the same political families have, in some constitutional and electoral systems, participated in and attained national leadership which we are doing as team MK .

For those of us who support General @mkainerugaba, let us keep the love , continue to prepare peacefully, organise responsibly and focus on making our case to Ugandans. Already, many Ugandans support the MK programme and vision for the next generation.

President Museveni is our President today. General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is, for many of us, the leader of our choice to carry the next generation and our country forward. Ultimately, Ugandans will decide.

Let us respect that choice, whichever way it goes.

Support Mzee. Prepare our General MK . Keep Uganda united.

For the next 12 days, I’m going to tell the story of Benghazi.

Not just what happened during those 13 hours on September 11 and 12, 2012.

I’m going back before that night.

Back to the warnings, back to the attacks that had already happened.

Back to what was going on in Benghazi months before 4 Americans were killed.

Some of what I’m going to share is already documented in congressional investigations and government records.

Some of it comes from people who have spent years digging into what happened afterward.

And some of it I know for one simple reason.

I was there.

I was serving on the CIA’s GRS Annex Security Team in Benghazi in 2012.

I was there while the security situation was getting worse.

I was there when the U.S. compound was attacked months before September 11.

I was there while Benghazi was becoming more dangerous and the warning signs kept piling up.

And on September 11, 2012, I was there when all of it came crashing down.

This isn’t about reopening some old political argument.

It’s about telling the story in the order it actually happened and remembering the 4 Americans who never came home because of OUR failed government and policies.

Indeed, KRA have gone mad, and they are not even hiding it. Look at this.

You buy goods in Guangzhou. Hoods. Plates. Small stock. You pay about KSh 700,000. The container lands in Mombasa, and they tax you like that container is worth KSh 3.2 million.

Not because that is what you paid. Because, since 20 August, that is their new floor.

KSh 2.5 million became KSh 3.2 million overnight.
Follow the maths.

KSh 3.2 million × 25% duty is already KSh 800,000.

Then other taxes & levies climbs on that same . IDF. railway levy etc.

Next thing you realise, they want KSh 2.2 million in tax on goods that cost KSh 700,000.

Some people are staring at a KSh 5 million bill once port charges and storage join the raid.

As we speakk the CBM rate is KSh 72,000–80,000 from China to Kenya in some companies

If you oppose they say; you deconsolidate. Tax item by item.

In real life if you choose that route , that cargo can sit for a year at the port as costs pile on you & maybe you even took a loan.

So you either pay the fake value today, or bleed slowly at the port. And this is why you are seeing business persons protest.
