[Intra-African Trade Fair IATF @iatf2027]

The host for the next Intra-African Trade Fair has been confirmed.

At the opening ceremony, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, received the IATF flag on behalf of Nigeria marking Lagos as the host city for IATF2027.

Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman of the IATF Advisory Council and former President of Nigeria, reflected on the milestone:
“Since its inception the IATF has rotated across our continent, leaving its unique legacy and improving with each host nation. Today we continue the proud tradition by announcing the country that will host IATF2027.”

With Lagos now preparing to welcome the continent in 2027, the IATF continues its mission of deepening trade and investment ties across Africa.

The 4th #IATF opened in Algiers with a strong call for Africa to seize its economic future.
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, H.E. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman of the IATF Advisory Council and former President of Nigeria, described the #IATF as “a symbol of Africa’s economic awakening, where trade and investment unite our people and drive forward the ambition of the AfCFTA.”
In the same session, #Nigeria was announced as the next host of the #IATF2027.

The #IATF continues to stand as the continent’s premium platform for trade, investment, and meaningful partnerships.

While receiving the NEXIM Bank Managing Director, Abba Bello, in my office today, I lauded the bank for deploying its financial tools to assist the mining industry in meeting some of its critical needs of equipment and funding.

The Solid Minerals Development Ministry and the Nigerian Export-Import (NEXIM) bank have committed to strengthening partnerships to close the logistical gap hampering exports of solid minerals whilst leveraging the bank’s resources to bolster mining sector financing.

I expressed satisfaction with the bank’s commitment to the development of the mining sector, pledging the ministry's collaboration to leverage the bank’s resources for the benefit of the mining industry.
