"If a person gave away your body to some passerby, you'd be furious. Yet you hand over your mind to anyone who comes along, so they may abuse you, leaving it disturbed and troubled - have you no shame in that?"
-Epictetus
Spot on. This is an important point. I have had similar objections to this phenomenon in corporate America. @jpmorgan has a habit of naming large team meeting rooms as the War Room. When I was hired to open a new office for them my first ask was to reconsider their plan to name pur large team meeting space as the War Room. As a vet, I found it disrespectful. Gratefully, my wishes were respected. Those who want to pose as combat fighters would never be willing to pay the price.
@Thedukeistheman@MilesianSchool@boriquagato@BillyFostedamus Was there a guarantee it would sell for $300? What if it only sold for $225? Should the worker only then be paid $75? If you agree that he should, we can have a conversation. Because then we agree that he has taken a RISK.
@allengarvin@DrunkRepub I convinced my wife to let me sell a handful of our JPM at $17. Fortunately she limited me to about 5% of our overall holdings. We still have the rest. Never underestimate the power of the Dimon worshiper.
