These allegations are horrifying, and the victims deserve far more concern and urgency than we have seen from this administration.

Yet again, under Gov. Lamont’s watch, Connecticut is dealing with another scandal marked by incompetence and failed oversight.

The people of Connecticut are tired of leaders who are asleep at the wheel while scandal after scandal unfolds around them. With reform, accountability, and better oversight of the CSCU system and state government, we can restore confidence in our state.

I am DISGUSTED — not just disappointed — by the outright corruption and backroom favoritism happening right now in Westbrook.

Your annual John A. Holbrook Awards Dinner is May 14th. You rolled out the red carpet for Ryan Fazio and Erin Stewart — the establishment’s hand-picked Republican Governor candidates.

But when the Conservative candidate Betsy McCaughey asked for a seat at the table?

Westbrook RTC Chair Harry Ruppenicker Jr. looked her dead in the eye and said:
“No. It is what it is.”

IT IS WHAT IT IS?!

That arrogant, elitist slap in the face to every conservative voter in Connecticut is exactly why people are fed up with the CT Republican Party machine.

As a former Chair of a MUCH larger RTC, I’ve seen this garbage before — but never this blatant. You’re not “uniting the party.” You’re rigging the conversation, silencing conservative voices, and treating rank-and-file Republicans like peasants who don’t deserve to hear ALL the candidates.

Harry Ruppenicker Jr. and the Westbrook RTC:
You didn’t just exclude Betsy McCaughey.
You excluded every voter who wants real choices instead of pre-selected insiders.

This isn’t leadership.
This is dirty politics at its ugliest.

If you’re a Connecticut Republican who’s sick of the backroom deals, SHARE THIS POST and tag the Westbrook RTC.
Call them out. Demand they invite Betsy McCaughey immediately.

No more “it is what it is.”
It’s time for “We the People” to be heard.
