LOL. - Connecticut Democrats just got caught effectively ROBBING taxpayers and businesses of $500 million!
They created a meals and beverage tax in 2019 - and said the cash would go to the cities and towns.
That tax brought in over $500 million. Guess how much went back to the cities where it was collected? NONE!
“That extra 1% tax has gone back to the general fund since 2019, generating over $500 million. But that wasn't the original intent.
The money was supposed to go to the city or town where the tax was generated — It's money that you know is generated inside our local economies, but it's sent straight to the state's general fund. Our towns get nothing.”
Yep. Connecticut Democrats exposed as CROOKS yet again! REPOST for exposure!

Hundreds of people packed Connecticut State Capitol
They are outraged Democrats are introductions legislation to force homeschool reporting to the Department of Children and Families
“This is a controversial issue. Connecticut is one of the few states that really has no regulations when it comes to homeschooling and homeschooling.Parents want it to stay that way.
“We provide what we feel that our children need. Homeschooling. Parents like Stephanie are passionate about their choice to keep their children out of public schools, and they're telling lawmakers who are considering changes hands off”
“Legislation being considered would require school districts to tell the state Board of Education what students are being removed from school. That information would be shared with the Department of Children and Families, but there could be some privacy issues with sharing that information”
Homeschool families would have to demonstrate (e.g., via annual portfolios or assessments) that their education is “equivalent” to public school standards in core subjects like reading, math, science, and social studies
WOAH 🚨 Connecticut Democrats introduce House Bill 5044 and Senate Bill 450 which will MANDATE a new vaccine schedule for children AND ADULTS
“They wanna come up with a mandated vaccine schedule, not only for children, but for adults. And I think that is ridiculous to have to take away rights and freedoms that we fought hard for”
- House Bill 5044 (Governor Ned Lamont’s proposal, introduced as part of the state budget): This would broaden the Department of Public Health Commissioner’s authority to establish “standards of care” for immunizations. It expands beyond just children to include adults, basing recommendations on sources like the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices
- Senate Bill 450 (or Raised Bill 450, building on HB 5044): This goes further in some versions, explicitly adding adults to the immunization standard language, it also adds more sources to justify adding vaccines
An American starts a small dump-truck business in Connecticut
Just 6 trucks
No umbrella. No workers’ comp.
Insurance still DEMANDS $126,000 a year — nearly $12,000 a month — before covering a SINGLE thing
That’s not protection. It’s a system DESIGNED to crush small businesses
💸Connecticut is now the ONLY state in the country where ultimate responsibility for investing tens of billions in state employee pensions lies with one individual: the elected state treasurer. Because of that system our state has lost billions in returns which have resulted in families paying thousand of dollars in higher taxes over decades!
That’s why I repeatedly proposed to reform the system and share responsibility among a board of professionals. Democratic leaders in the state have rejected that proposal and now are looking to make decisions with those funds for political and policy reasons rather than the best financial interests of state employees and taxpayers. It’s time for change.
Pass SB1557 now!
With Kimmel getting canned I’m seeing lots of people talking about the hypocrisy of cancel culture. To me Cancel culture is when people go out of their way to dig up old tweets, videos etc looking for dirt on somebody they don’t like in an effort to get them fired. Like if Kimmel got canceled for shit he did on the Man Show that would be cancel culture. But when a person says something that a ton of people find offensive, rude, dumb in real time and then that person is punished for it that’s not cancel culture. That is consequences for your actions
If you liked the state-gov't-backed health care business, UConn Health, losing $60 million per year, you'll love it losing $85 million per year plus losing $130 million of one-time back taxes plus assuming $300 million of debt! Taxpayers deserve better. This state gov't needs to change more than ever.
In recent days, Department of Public Health Commissioners from Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont have met to discuss creating a regional approach to CDC vaccine policy.
This is unprecedented and deeply troubling. These commissioners are unelected bureaucrats who believe they can override the authority of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and create a DeFacto “CDC” for the Northeast. This would take vaccine policy decisions out of the hands of accountable, federally guided leadership and place them into the hands of regional officials who are not directly answerable to the people.
We believe this effort is both dangerous and undemocratic. It is being done quietly, during a time when parents are focused on back-to-school transitions, so that most families don’t even realize what’s happening.

CT is one of only 19 states that allows illegals to obtain a driver's license. Now, as can be seen in the graphic posted here, we are also one of 30 states that will GIVE in-state tuition and financial aid to undocumented students. CT's hardworking, over-taxed citizens are struggling to live in our expensive state, yet the Democrats who support CT's super-sanctuary status (@GovNedLamont@AGWilliamTong@LGSusanB@bobduff, Matt Ritter, Jason Rojas, Martin Looney, etc.) think this is how our tax dollars should be spent.?? Let's vote them all out in the next election.
"CT electric rates to drop in Sept. as a result of state borrowing" Why we cannot continue to create new welfare programs; you can never get rid of them. We are borrowing to collect taxes to pat for welfare programs.
