🚨🇺🇸 BREAKING: TRUMP TO SIGN EXECUTIVE ORDER RECLASSIFYING MARIJUANA TO SCHEDULE III

A major shift in federal drug policy is coming.

Trump is expected to sign an executive order directing federal agencies to reclassify marijuana from Schedule I (alongside heroin and LSD) to Schedule III (alongside Tylenol with codeine and certain steroids).

The move would not legalize or decriminalize marijuana, but it would ease barriers to research and boost the bottom lines of legal cannabis businesses operating in the 24 states that have approved recreational use.

Trump met Wednesday with marijuana industry executives, HHS Secretary RFK Jr., and CMS chief Dr. Mehmet Oz to discuss the plan.

He also called House Speaker Mike Johnson, who pushed back with studies and data opposing reclassification.

Trump's response?

He handed the phone to the executives in the room, who rebutted Johnson's arguments point by point.

Trump in August:

"We're looking at it. Some people like it, some people hate it."

The Biden administration recommended reclassification in 2023 but the DEA slow-walked the process until it died.

Trump is getting it done.
