Today I took one of my daughters to join a technical school. She’s always been passionate abt construction so we chose St Joseph Kisubi Tech School.

My other daughter who finished S.4 is loves agriculture so she’s joining Rwentanga Farm Institute- Mbarara.

Personally I believe most young people should be encouraged to join skill based learning instead of flooding secondary schools to do HSC.

Unless a child wants to be an engineer or doctor and those complicated professions, channel them into these technical schools. They’ll never be idle.

I have one of my nieces who was taken to continue with A level and the school of choice refused to give her the combination she wanted. Biki ebyo. How can a school say we won’t give you this combination, do this one we’ve chosen for you?
