We have a long way before our elections in this state are completely fair, but I will agree with the Governor in saying the 2020 election in this state was decided democratically and we did not choose Former President Trump.
The 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen.
For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward - under oath - and prove anything in a court of law. Our elections in Georgia are secure, accessible, and fair and will continue to be as long as I am governor.
The future of our country is at stake in 2024 and that must be our focus.
No more excuses. No more staying at home. If you are not working to protect the rights of every single person living in this country, then you are complacent in the mistreatment and oppression of those individuals. Our country is not perfect, but man I’m disappointed…
So much to get us to this point. So much more to go. But moments like this make me so excited for what comes next for us. @CoryBooker I feel the same way
As a result of the Senate University Fees Study Committee I created by passing SR300, the Governor made our recommendations part of his budget proposal. $230 million added to the state funding formula, and a 40% reduction in fees by eliminating the Special Institutional Fee!
Happy Juneteenth! As we celebrate this day together, just remember, we aren’t done yet! We will keep fighting the ever lasting consequences of slavery and ensure we continuously craft our own destiny! #JuneTeenth2021
My district, GA House District 34, is now going to a runoff. Georgia, you know how we do during runoffs. Let’s get to work getting out the vote! Lots of work to do before the election on July 13! Let’s get to it! #GaRunoff#vote
Jen @senatorjen is absolutely right. We can’t play politics with such a fundamental right such as education. Every student in the University System of Georgia, including myself, are in danger of losing the integrity of our degrees in an already crowded and competitive field.
🚨ATTENTION🚨 If you released a book during the pandemic and you know that it should be in bookstores, but you haven’t seen it yet for whatever reason, let me know and I can take a photo of it if it’s on the Powell’s shelves or not so you can experience that!
I hope that after seeing the atrocious suppression laws from these state legislatures, voters, especially young people, are more encouraged to actually vote in state and local races. We have so much work to do heading into 2022. Get vaccinated. Rest up. And let’s get to work.
Happy Black History Month! This one goes out to my mother and father for making me apart of our shared history ✊🏾I am proud to be black and proud to celebrate this month for those who came before me. #BlackHistoryMonth
