Just from a purely technical and realistic standpoint, I'm curious, why would anyone believe supersticious and mythological writings would precede writings with actual dimensions and bonafide construction materials such as bitumen [Oil/Tar-prevelent in the Middle East] that were used?

@histories_arch Scholars have concluded that the Sumerian language contains words that are not Sumerian at all, but were borrowed from some other language/culture before them. Some of the words refer to geographical places for example.

@histories_arch Archaeology can only prove what is written in stone. Written language probably predates stone carvings in the form of papyrus type writings which do not last as long. The Epic of Gilgamesh was probably a knock off of earlier papyrus writings of the Flood of Noah
