Not sure any of us in business today can begin to imagine the barriers he and his wife had to overcome to build what they built.

@betsy2dre They don’t want to understand what the purpose of lobbyists are. If you’re an organic farmer and laws are being changed that effect you, you want to be able to get together with other farmers and explain to Congress what the implications are. We can’t selectively stop lobbying.

@groove_sdc Argentians in NY are the “snobbiest”. They detest that so much of Latin culture is definied by Mexican and Caribbean immigrants. The number of lectures I have received from them about their superior European culture….🙄

@magi_jay @TheSWPrincess I’ve never understood the “he’s hot” thing. If he’s your cup of tea that’s great but nothing about him is universally handsome. It’s a lot of try hard overwrought choices. A lot of expense for a not really great fit. The beard is poorly trimmed. He isn’t exactly Idris Elba.

Most primary schools do not appropriately prioritise the development of reading fluency (via scaffolded reading practice) and the development of mental arithmetic (via number fact automaticity allied to place value understanding) in their academic curriculum.

@maxdubler She thinks our urban policy needs to revolve around the people who warehouse their cars on the street for the occasional weekend trip. Those people need to rent a car and we shouldn’t do anything to encourage them to keep their cars.

@maxdubler Just like the pleas to stop gentrification…it’s a systems problem; it won’t be solved by trying to appeal to the conscience of individuals. If the housing is cheaper and available over there people will go….if the seat can recline and your neck is sore you will push the button.

Try teaching them to understand complex sentence structure. A recent study suggests it can be powerful.

@constans Also a bunch of kids come out of the private school system and take the test. For families it is a a lottery win if they can stop paying for private for the high school years. Also everytime this comes up people fail to understand this at the NY State level to change this not NYC

@joeyjguarino Honestly it’s what they are thinking “Black people need sit down they had their turn and they are stupid they need to shut up and let us run this”. Frankly refreshing to just have him say it. This “we care about everyone” thing while they are thinking this feels like gaslighting.

@trouble_man90 Everytime they get called out for something (in this case him saying his opponent was incoherent and dumb) they immediately look for opportunities to reverse the victimhood. From now on they will rerun this play over claiming actually and we are the meanies and he is the victim🙄
