Formation: 4-3-3 → 3-2-5 (in possession)

🧠 Positional play with patient build-up, heavy possession and fluid rotations. Similar principles to Guardiola, but with his own tweaks.

• Wingers should hold width, allowing the attacking midfielders to operate between the lines.

• City's high possession means DEFCON opportunities are likely to remain fairly low, but clean-sheet potential should stay among the league's best.

• DEFCON beast Anderson (£6.5m) will be the heartbeat, with Rodri unfit, while creative players like Cherki (£7.5m) and Foden (£7.0m) should thrive between the lines.

• Gvardiol (£5.5m), Foden and Haaland (£15.5m) said to be the ‘three central pillars’ in this system @City_Xtra [via @SamLee]

FPL Verdict: Expect more evolution than revolution. City's defenders remain premium clean-sheet options, while Foden and Cherki look the biggest attacking beneficiaries under Maresca.
