@AleksPopovic@qatarairways@qrsupport Travel insurance covers emergencies. Airline responsibility covers customers. Two different things. If a service isn’t provided, a refund or credit isn’t a favor, it’s business integrity. Insurance is optional, not a shield for airlines to dodge accountability. @qatarairways
I’m recovering from major surgery and my doctor confirmed I can’t fly next week.
@qatarairways denied my refund saying it’s not a “terminal illness.”
I paid $5,300 for a Business Class ticket, this policy feels so unfair. Please show compassion

@AleksPopovic@qatarairways@qrsupport Travel insurance isn’t the issue. Airlines often give a refund or credit when circumstances are serious.
I didn’t cancel by choice. I had major surgery, and my doctor confirmed I’m not fit to fly.
@qatarairways refusing both is cruel.
As a nurse, I find it heartbreaking that @qatarairways only shows compassion when a passenger is terminally ill.
People recovering from major surgery shouldn’t have to lose $5,300 for following their doctor’s orders.

So @qatarairways only grants refunds if a person has a terminal illness?
That means someone basically has to be dying to qualify for compassion.
Even then, they wouldn’t live to enjoy their money. That policy is incredibly cruel.
