@LeahRain77 If Dad wanted to leave his home to his young daughter for her to live in, then he should have bought a home in a community that allows that.
@atxREpodcast There’s lots of price cuts but those are mostly too high to start. Priced right central neighborhoods are very active, sellers funding buyers often quickly
@ashleyschendel Unrealistic expectations and unwillingness to compromise on anything describes an entire generation. They can’t have champagne, so they won’t even buy beer. End up struggling renters forever, never build wealth thru ownership.
@JCacciapaglia Austin has W Campus and surrounds full of condos for students plus thousands of hi rise units dwntwn. In general density and demand for ATX central city living lends itself to condo living. SA is just sprawl. Freeways. Less attractive inner city
@iamstevenpedigo Umm, Houston-Woodlands, PHX- Mesa/ Chandler, Raleigh/ Cary, Charlotte, Atlanta etc. it’s not just Dallas. And central Dallas resi neighborhoods are healthy
@iamstevenpedigo It’s been going to Uptown instead. McKinney Ave corridor, just across Woodall Rogers. Gilman Sachs, Y’all street related, B of A leaving core, to uptown. It’s not all bad
@iamstevenpedigo Downtown Dallas has been steady and/or declining since the 80s. Uptown stole the show. Collin county is no dif than any other edge urban county in US. Growing w/ cheaper housing, better schools
