- Immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz without any transit fees.
- Easing of sanctions imposed on Iran in accordance with its commitment to its pledges.
- Extension of the ceasefire for 60 days, including between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon, and during these sixty days, negotiations will be held on the nuclear file.
- The text of the agreement includes a plan to deal with Iran's enriched uranium stockpile, but any practical steps related to the nuclear program will depend on reaching a second, more detailed agreement between the two parties.
- A diplomatic official from one of the mediating countries said that "the United States and Iran have reached an agreement on the text of the agreement," but acknowledged that final approval is still required.
- According to two informed sources, the Iranian Supreme Leader has not yet approved the text of the agreement.

- A senior US official said that Trump agreed that one of the options to resolve this issue is to dilute highly enriched uranium to a level within Iran itself, under the supervision of UN inspectors.
- No practical step will be taken regarding the nuclear program unless a more detailed additional agreement is reached – an uncertain goal given the difficulties that emerged even in the less technical negotiations regarding the MOU.
- The diplomat claimed that the MOU "addresses in detail all nuclear issues" and "meets all American requirements."
- The MOU stipulates the immediate opening of the Strait of Hormuz without transit fees, and a return to pre-war shipping levels within 30 days. In return, the US blockade will also be lifted.
- US officials have previously stated that after the strait opens, Iran will receive a temporary sanctions waiver allowing it to sell oil for 60 days, a move that will generate vital revenue for Tehran.
- The scope of sanctions relief will be expanded if Iran fulfills its initial commitments and demonstrates "good faith" during subsequent negotiations.
Point of contention, according to the website:
- It remains unclear whether the text includes a detailed explanation regarding the fate of billions of Iranian dollars frozen abroad.
- Iran insists that it must receive some of the funds immediately upon signing the initial agreement, while the United States demands the release of funds in stages and according to commitments.
- A US source outside the administration expressed concern that the issue of frozen funds could be resolved through a secret side deal. A senior US official recently denied this possibility.
- In recent days, the United States, Iran, and Qatar have discussed a mechanism that would allow Iran to access some of its frozen funds in Qatar for the purpose of purchasing humanitarian goods such as food and medicine, according to a senior US official and a source from one of the mediating countries.
