WOW 😱 Thank you ever so much @Makers_Central for a wonderful weekend. It was a dream come true in what has been a nightmare past few years. It was a hard process to get us there. With mats ill health and rapid tiredness . But as a team of probably 10 back home and the core team at the event we did it. We apologise for being unable to sell any units as its the very first Prototype, but hopefully in the future this will be different. We loved the enthusiasm of everyone and cant wait to see you all again it was pleasure to meet you all. ❤️🤟🙏⚡🌪️🌞

Fair point on lobbyists. 🙄 they influence both sides too often. I'm not a fan of either party right now; both have failed to protect innovation and everyday makers. The core issue here is treating general-purpose tools like 3D printers (used by hobbyists, engineers, educators, repair shops, and small businesses) as if they're inherently suspect. NY's Hochul proposal for mandatory blocking software on every printer sold, Colorado's HB 1144 criminalizing printer use for certain parts, and similar pushes in blue states set a dangerous precedent. We need smarter policy that targets actual criminals without crippling the entire 3D printing ecosystem. Hobbyists and the industry deserve better from all lawmakers red, blue, or otherwise. Regulating ideas and tools this way hurts American qnd then wordly ingenuity more than it stops bad actors. 🫡

Crazy legislation does come from both parties, but right now the heavy-handed stuff on 3D printers is overwhelmingly Democrats in blue states. NY's Hochul wants every 3D printer sold in the state to run government-mandated 'censorware' that scans and blocks gun-related prints. Colorado Dems passed bills making homemade firearms via printer a misdemeanor/felony. Similar pushes in WA, CA. This isn't just targeting illegal guns — it's surveilling a general-purpose tool used by hobbyists, engineers, educators, and small businesses. One side treats innovation and self-reliance as threats to regulate into oblivion. The asymmetry is clear on this issue and its a shame to be honest.

I learned at 16 years of age, that there are many people on this planet that have it way worse than myself. My leg was amputated because of an aggressive cancer in my right knee called osteosarcoma. Shortly afterwards I went through physical therapy. Physical therapy made me appreciate what mobility I still have. Over 30 years later I still choose to do most things myself. I could take the easy way with my content, yet I do not. Most of my content takes a physical toll on me. One of my next videos is replacing the seats of our @Ford 2003 E450 camper with Econoline 2025 seats. Wasn’t exactly plug and play but pretty close. However, just like most of my content I am a 3/4 person production. Doing the cameras, and usually all the work. What a physically mobile person could have done in less than 1 hour, took me 4+ hours. From getting the camera equipment, tools, and literally everything else to make the seat swaps happen. Then all the clean up, and making sure tools are put right back 😂. Yet at the end of it, I always feel good that I managed to do it myself, and hope to inspire other disabled people.
