RWENZORI MARATHON 2026

1- World athletics federation is going to live stream @RwenzoriMarathn just like they do with LONDON MARATHON, NEW YORK MARATHON ETC.

Millions will watching Live from across the Globe. The world will watch Uganda!

2- BBC is coming to do a story on @RwenzoriMarathn 2026 for the radio and TV, crew is set to arrive a week before the marathon.

3 - We are finalizing a discussion with 2 Africa broadcasters and hopefully we agree on something this week.

4– @robwalkertv( ROB WALKER) has committed to commentating ( at no cost due to his love for UGANDA) along side MARTIN KEINO and our own @andrewkabuura.

SAD NEWS

5- We had agreed with DREAM TEAM TV( google them) who cover world majors( world top marathons) to do a 26 minutes which was going to reach between 500m to 1bn( not kidding) but how we handle info killed it and hopefully next year God willing.

They have work in the US first week of September and since we have been blacklist, they wouldn’t have the 21days required.

It was going to be Ugandas biggest move in PR. @robwalkertv had helped us achieve that. That’s how much @robwalkertv loves Uganda.

He did not sell FRONASA/NRA when he had the chance & energy between 1976 and 1986. He paid for it with his blood & sweat, pledging his own life if need be. Why would he sell the same now, when he is walking with a stick? We must return this debate to NRA tradition within the law.

If the British supplied NRA with Arms, they would not require to be briefed by a freelance journalist who happened to passby......Neither would M7 rely on a brief from a journalist because M16 would be in KAPEEKA monitoring their guns....and not be briefed by FOREIGN OFFICE OF JJ Odongo-like...; and this was 1984; one year to the end the war!

Btw, I was there when Pike arrived until he left; i met him, he interviewed me and my Unit. So I don't have to read his book to get informed on how NRA got its guns....

When our units(Hqters/Combined headquarters, High Command, Causality unit,etc.....) were attacked by that massive UNLA force(2 reinforced battalions) under then brigadier Zed Maruru at Lubega Dam-Ngoma, in 1984, it was because I was relying on an old military radio with old battery which got drained overnight and I couldn't get the WARNING MESSAGE from Chairman High command who was with another force in Hoima. We lost st some fine soldiers like MUSUNBIGI(Muzambique..)! At the time, we were still using courier system ; abebigere/foot communication agents.... So to reach Benon Tumukunde who was in SHAKA-ZIRAGURA just 10 miles away, had to send Serwanga-Lwaga on foot.....mbu AMERICAN SUPPORT;😏!

How can people supported by Britain and America not have basic communication equipment and batteries in 1984? People should stop this nonsense. It insults the memory of those who Perished due to lack of drugs, due to lack of arms, those who fought naked and hungry. NRA historic struggle was one of its kind, and REVISIONISM to the contrary is nonsense!

Can now see why it is important to write and tell our story, THE WAY IT WAS.

What i can assure you, sis @kyakundwa is; your gallant father and those other martyrs DIDN'T DIE IN VAIN. The "40 Acres and a Mule" anology of Gen Sherman, though interesting doesn't capture the ESSENCE OF REVOLUTIONARY SACRIFICE in Armed Struggles. By the EXISTENTIAL NATURE of these sacrifices, there is always very little by way of SELF-GRATIFICATION for the ACTUAL COMBATANTS! This is how it has been! From Moses who didn't enter Canaan, to Dedan Kimathi of the Mau Mau near here, to Simon Peter who was crucified upside-down, etc.....its been like that.
Ideological revolutions far transcend personal gratification and dwell more on HIGHER IDEALS. SECURE COLLECTIVE FUTURE; etc.
This is what should concern us more than the 40 Acres. Just like FREEDOM OF THOSE SLAVES far outweighed the Mule.....
