UETCL has conducted a successful security operation to address the illegal encroachment of the 220kV Bujagali–Kawanda High Voltage Transmission Line wayleave corridor through the unauthorized laying of bricks.

Our team conducted the operation in collaboration with the Uganda Police Force in the known encroachment hotspots of Buwaate and Nsasa, located in Kira Division, Wakiso District.

As a result of the operation, five suspects were arrested and are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
