@CorvusFlies@DemsFormer@SenWhitehouse@goodedonnae Everyone is missing the point. Elon doesn't have and never will have that money. It's simply a measure of the value of the companies that he owns. The actual wealth, which is represented by money, is being actively used by others. Elon wouldn't feel any loss but they would.
@SenSanders "Compensation". Are you saying that Elon took home $158 billion? Why are you lying to people on this post? Net worth is not compensation, it's the value of the companies. This post is objectively false and I'm sure you know it.
@Jason Maybe $1-$2 per hour. It's just wifi, I can use it when I get home if they charge all of these fees. But I would choose a flight that has it available if all else is equal.
@SpaceX I wish SpaceX never went public. Now there will be too many people worried about the perception of failures, and there will be a lot of shorts pushing for failure.
@yunta_tsai What I need is AI that can build an entire online platform with logins, AI bot checkers, various pages that talk to each other, etc without me having to sit there and be involved for 2 weeks directly. It tells me to paste the code, or download a zip file, apply it, test it, etc.
@Marineforever12@RobertShort40@KnightCroo@pickover It looks like the cross is made of two separate pieces and has a pin about which it can pivot. It can certainly be horizontal even if they aren't connected because of the ropes. It looks embedded into the ground, so assuming a reasonable embedment depth, cutting B won't work.
@RobertShort40@KnightCroo@pickover It looks like the post is embedded into the ground, so would likely hold the car without B. The attachment from B to the pivot point is too close, I don't think it would hold the weight of the cat if you cut A.
@SenWarren But where would the money come from? That's the thing people seem to misunderstand. Is it coming from a vault? Is wealth magically generated? It is being taken away from something actual economic activity and being redirected.
@d3dazZ@DjokovicFan_ Same Slam count: 3–3.
But beyond that:
Murray: 46 ATP titles, 14 Masters, 1 ATP Finals, 2 Olympic golds, world No. 1, 11 Slam finals.
Wawrinka: 16 ATP titles, 1 Masters, no ATP Finals, career high No. 3, 4 Slam finals.
Similar peaks. Murray had the far greater career.
@RepBeccaB Why don't you understand he's not sitting on that "money"? Why is this basic principle missed by so many? The point to me isn't that he "earned" it, it's the fact that he doesn't even have it, it's in the hands of the people already.
@SenWarren That "money" actively exists in the economy, in people's salaries, research, projects, etc. It's not in his bank account and it's not a salary. The money doesn't exist as money, and you would have to take it out of people's salaries and jobs, not Elons accounts in order to tax it
@isaacrrr7 Honestly an overreaction. The dude was drunk and not an actual danger. Different situation if he was driving, etc. But make sure your wife is okay and get that guy out of there. No reason to kill the guy.
