๐ซHideous!
Shameful and hateful.
...and extraordinarily short sighted.
I cry out in agony, fists clenched.
Now on knees praying for sanity and thoughtful, peaceful, intervention. ๐

The black vulture, the bald-faced scavenger circling roadkill, picks one partner and keeps it. Not for a season, but for good.
Most birds split once the nesting's done. Black vultures stay paired all year, feeding together, roosting together, raising their young side by side, and backing each other up in a fight.
They live in tight family groups too, staying close to their own relatives and driving off vultures that don't belong.
