At Classic FM Live, the @RSNO elegantly transitioned from ‘Palladio’ into a triumphant birthday surprise (✍️ @conductorben) before @XanderArmstrong@KlassMyleene brought out a cake for his 80th birthday year.
Not often that Mozart's Requiem starts with the Hallelujah Chorus, but it did at this afternoon's rehearsal, with @TRBC singers fitting the words of Happy Birthday to Handel's tune in honour of conductor Brian Kay's 80th birthday.
